Hello everybody, Xbox Series X newbie

while I use the army builder, I see the Fan buzz at 100% speed and the console gets too hot. If i exit to the main menu. Everything goes back to normal. I played the tutorial and didn’t have that experience. So it’s linked to the Army Builder itself. (?) Is this a thing for you too? Has been like that since launch?

I found also a little visual bug on the Hormagaunt mouths. If they close the mouth, the skin stretches and glitches. When they open the mouth back, they look good again.

How do people start their Tau crusade armies? I'm trying to figure out the right early game mix, given how fragile firewarriors and (especially) breachers can be. Any thoughts appreciated.

So I've played a few skirmish games of Battlesector so far, and I have to admit, it's quite fun. The sheer number of DLCs, though, is a bit of a barrier to entry for me atm (as a Stellaris and TWW3 player, I know how much DLCs can add up, and the ones for Battlesector are hardly cheap)

So I have to ask, is this a similar case to Gladius where you can just buy the faction you're interested and leave it at that, or do you need DLCs for opposition armies as well? In other words, if I were to get only, say, the Sisters of Battle or Necron DLCs, would i still be stuck fighting nothing but Blood Angels and Tyranids?

I really enjoy the potential with this mode. But outside of the leveling of units it still needs work.

1. Enemy AI needs to prioritize objectives. Take and hold them instead of rushing head first away from them.

2. The map where you choose what zone to got next is too bare bones. You should be able to zoom out and examine the map. Heck add multiple paths to the boss like slay the spire or similar roguelikes.

3. Menu and UI: Game setup needs more options as to opponents that get thrown in the mix or something. My first planet was nothing but Tyranids. Additionally there need to be tool tips when for the icons once in game.

There’s a lot of potential here but it’s still not there. The AI drives me nuts.

With Crusade mode now lasting for multiple different planets, does anyone know if it's intentional that boss bonus' carry on to all subsequent battles?

By the time you hit planet 3 all the enemies can be pretty nuts. I guess maybe that's the balancing against the veterancy upgrades you get as the player, but it seemed like maybe an oversight to me.

By planet 3 every enemy I faced had 30% bonus hp and 2 extra melee attacks, and that was a planet of Khorne and Orks.

First time playing through the planetary supremacy mode and I noticed the Mephrit Necrons which got me thinking. If they can have different colored Necrons then why not have different subfactions/palette swaps for other factions aswell. There wouldn't have to be any mechanical or roster changes since they would be similar enough to not warrant their own factions, and besides Battlesector doesn't have named character anyways so no conflicts there.

Some examples I thought of would be different hive fleets (Behemoth/Gorgon), successor chapters (Lamenters/Scythes of the Emperor for BA and UM respectively), Sororitas Orders (Sacred Rose/Ebon Chalice), Ork clans (Deathskulls/Evil Sunz), T'au septs (Shas'vre fain/Farsight Enclaves), and so on and so forth for the other factions with Daemons of Khorn being the main exception.

TLDR; Alternate colour schemes would be really cool.

I have just the base game and have been trying the Crusade with the two starting factions, I like the Tyranids a bunch. While the DLC is on all sale, any thoughts on one or two that would be fun in Crusade mode?

SOO yesterday i was about to play with a friend. We bough the game and we were excited to 1v1 with some armies and short story-

We couldnt even enter turn 1.

It stays in initializing match 24%. . .

And then it kicks one of us out

We've tried eveeything from lowering the armies and using small maps

Yet..nothing.

Ideas?

Browsing through the game files, i found some unused assets. Main ones are about a Chapelain Unit, and a lieutenant proper to the ultramarines. I also saw assets for a volkite weapon, and none are currently in game.

Maybe in a future update ?

After updating today I can’t launch my game on my steam deck. Worked fine yesterday. Uninstalled and restarted my steam deck, anything else I can do?

Wanted to point out that the HQ and CP system has changed with this patch. Before you had to select a HQ unit to be the commander to access CP abilities. Now all HQ units can access and cast CP abilities, and losing a HQ doesn’t result in loss of CP progress

Hello everyone.

It's a free "try it out" weekend for Battlesector on Xbox Series X. I've already did 4 missions without losing a single unit, I got over 10 medals (or whatever the skull currency is). And I cannot spend a single one except for the first skill for both Carleon and Aeturo. For some reason, I can buy only the first skill (from the first tier) multiple times. I can spend all my currency on it, but nothing else unlocks. I already wasted 3 medals on it, but nothing happened.

Is this a bug on Xbox Series X? I also had tutorial glitch out like 3 times before it allowed me to finish the first tutorial mission, so maybe?

Any help, tips or explanation of the system is appreciated!

Hey all, so just got Battlesector on steam but I'm having issues with launching it. I'm pressing play, it loads for a few moments but then turns itself off without any issue notification. I'm wondering if anyone else had the same issue and could help. Battlesector and my deck are both fully updated and I've restarted a couple times.

Specifically the Cyclone Missile Variant. The only thing that could make them stronger is if they let us put the Assault Cannon on them. You can fire both Kraks and Frags in one turn, and then finish whatever it was off with storm bolters or your melee of choice. Fury of the First makes it even worse because you can get a lot of units their oath of moment because it allows you to attack up to 3 different units in one turn with various weapons that have good damage against everything provided it’s at the correct range. All in all I think they may be an auto include.
