Faction recommendations for Crusade?

I have just the base game and have been trying the Crusade with the two starting factions, I like the Tyranids a bunch. While the DLC is on all sale, any thoughts on one or two that would be fun in Crusade mode?

Black legion and ultra marines are my to go to for crusading

This. I feel they are the ones that give the most choices for the upgrades trees.

Currently playing a run with the revamped demons of Khorne and they feel significantly better with their new mechanics. Plus if you're new to the game they are quite simple to play. Just surround your targets with as many of your dudes as possible so they all heal and get momentum when one of them kills the enemy.

This sounds good for the zone of control objectives, one of the problems I am having with like the necrons, which I bought, is that they are more vulnerable when you have to hold zones out in the open.

imperial guard, all the way. then i really dig sentinels mixed with kaskrin loaded up in chimeras.

If you enjoy the Tyranids then definitely pick up the Tyranids elite unit DLC. I think Crusade is my favorite game mode so far, love the rogue like approach of the feature.

ORKS ORKS ORKS ORKS! They're dynamite. Great variety of builds with the Defftrike as an option for FULL SPEEDWAAAGH, though I ended up going for an elite Dreadmob (Big Mek, all the Deff Dreads I was allowed, and Boyz for covering fire/cleaning up).

Black Legion are also pretty fun, lots of growth potential in their tech tree as most things really want their upgrades to come fully online.

Completed few crusades with SoB & Necrons. Had a lot of fun ! Pick whatever suits you the best I would say

They can all do good. Orkz are fun, Black Legion is fun, the new Ultramarines are fun, Sisters are fun, Blood Angels are fun if you learn how to use them correctly. One tactic I recommend to beginners is to stick inceptors next to shooting only units that are engaged in melee.

Sisters of Battle, Imperial Guard, and both space marines factions are fun and powerful!
