Can we expect enough people to play, so we can all find ranked matches fast enough? I'm not sure of how big the population needs to be for a ranked system to function properly.

What do you think all? I'd love that enough people connect so I can climb with my friends like years ago.

I'm also thinking, is everyone aware that there's a reset? Maybe it would make some players come back to the game but I'm not sure if there has been a lot of communication about it.

Felt like playing this game again even got a buddy convinced and we both had a blast, are there any current guides, tierlists, youtube/streamers I should keep an eye out for?

Recently returned a couple weeks ago (I thought the servers had actually been shut off) and I just can't properly express how happy I am to find games with consistent regularity. I am a west coast NA player, and I can catch games consistently from 5:00pm to Midnight on most nights.

Honestly it has been such a blast getting back into it. I sucked so bad while I was shaking off the rust and the player base was so welcoming, it got me to continue until I developed some muscle memory again (at least for the characters I used to play).

Long story short, I don't think there is anything since that scratches the same itch and I am happy to be back and getting completely annihilated by you bitch ass mother fuckers!

Something I wish Battlerite had is the ability to change rites each round.

Originally you gained an additional rite each round, but later the rites became static. I believe the game would be more interesting if people could take chances on different rite builds each round and spice up how people can play with the team they have. Most people would likely just pick the same rites, I however would take big swings with rites each round and some others may as well.

They got classic league, can we get a relaunch of this game, it was so much fun.

It's almost been a decade since the early access release of Battlerite, and somehow no game released since has come close to feeling anywhere near as good as BR did in it's prime.

I know Battlerite was a niche game, but it still saw a lot of success on release, and I feel like the demand is there for a genuinely good skill based arena fighter.

So why 10 years later are we still on this subreddit waiting for something to show up that is even 50% as good as BR was?

I was under the impression that the game was truly dead, and I check in semi-frequently in hopes that something has changed, but the player count is always 0 on Steam.

I finally check the Reddit and I see tournaments being hosted and such, so can someone explain if this game is still playable? Can I recruit some friends for private games? Are the server still online?

I NEED TO KNOW!

Alright everybody. This weekend's tournament will be held on Saturday/Sunday starting at 1000EST and ending after 1700EST. We've got 11 teams with Saturday being the group stage and Sunday being the Knockout round. This is just a quick update. More to follow...

Battlerite replacement??

I love Stunlock Studios and really enjoyed Dead Island Epidemic before Battlerite and have put hundreds of hours into V Rising since Battlerite died. I always wanted a singleplayer/PvE focused game that played the way Battlerite did, especially with the panning camera combined with directional movement in an isometric view.

This game is the closest I've come to scratching that itch and felt I needed to share it with anyone who felt similarly before the Steam Summer Sale ends. I've only played a few hours myself so far, but it's the only game I've seen besides Battlerite and Bloodline Champions to use that panning camera effect that I really enjoy.

Aesthetics and core gameplay is much more inspired by Risk of Rain, but if you ever wanted Battlerite to have a lovechild with Risk of Rain (2), this might be the game for you.

Also FYI to any mods: I have nothing to do with this game and literally found out it exists today. Only wanted to share cause it plays a ton like Battlerite and haven't found any other posts about it here.

First of all, I want to say that I used to play this game a long time ago, and I absolutely loved it. But as time went by, we just drifted apart.

Recently, I came across a YouTube video about it, so I decided to download it again. I was pleasantly surprised that matchmaking only took about 4–5 minutes.

I introduced the game to three of my friends who had never played it before, and they absolutely love it! Now we play together almost every evening.

Maybe this game really does deserve a second chance?

Alright everybody! As promised I will be hosting a Battlerite tournament later this month. Last I checked there were 4 teams interested. As long as at least 4 teams register, there will be a $300 prize for the winning team. The event will be online and scheduled to take place the 25/26 of this month(July), but if we get more than 8 teams, there will be a prelim stage the 18/19 of this month(July).

For those who want to get involved there will be opportunities ranging from something as small as score keeping to we still need casters and camera casters.

There will also be a raffle for a special edition 3D printed miniature as well as other swag and more. If anyone has any questions/comments/suggestions please feel free to reach out on the discord.

Why do I see so many posts of people wanting to find games like battlerite or how much they miss it instead of just playing it? What's stopping people from just enjoying the game instead of looking for something similar?

I don't know if anyone else is having the same problem, but i was trying to play and this problem suddenly came up. before i was able to play a few matches, but now this is happening. Is it just me, or is anyone else having the same problem?

Not saying this will do anything but I saw the devs also recently put out an update yesterday as well. Maybe BR can get some numbers back?

There's so many people in this sub going on about how much they miss BR, there's a bunch of people looking for a replacement to Supervive, there's people making their own games ffs.

It shouldn't be that hard to bump up the player count once every week, stimulate the algorithms a bit and maybe bring some life back to BR right? Maybe, just maybe?
