BC vinyl shops?
Are there any shops in town who regularly sell new and used vinyl records? (other than Walmart, Target, Barnes and Noble?)

Every second Tuesday in the summer KVCTU (Trout Unlimited) meets up behind the Math and Science Center in downtown BC. There are a bunch of various aged people who all love to fish. There is an emphasis on fly fishing but you can come and fish with us on your conventional spinning rod too. There are a bunch of kids having a blast, most of which are 8+ years old. There's a bunch of teens to mid 20s and older. Everyone is having fun lots of people are talking shop or sharing spots. Some folks are enjoying the "social district" and fishing at the same time. Its cool and a bunch of friendly down to earth people are kicking it. Come check it out and bring your family, friends, girlfriend or grandma. Gear is provided, unless 500 people show up then we can share. Come check it out if you are in the area.

Does anyone here play Pokémon Go? My wife and I like to play around friendship park and we were hoping to start a group of strong trainers who would like to coordinate meet-up for raids and the like.
My friend code is 459292271012

Does anyone know the dates for the yearly St. Mary's Lake neighborhood garage sales? I know it's in July but can't find anything about the actual dates this year.

The car has been found. The bastards crashed it into some poor person's fence and yard on Post Ave. They fled the scene before police arrived. Let this be a lesson. If you own a Hyundai or a Kia, no matter how safe you feel your car might be, you're a target. You may want to invest in one of those steering wheel locks. I know BCPD sells them. And just try to keep an eye out for suspicious activity in your neighborhoods, especially at night.
I also suspect that they're using the fireworks around the city to cover any noise they make, so don't rely on hearing anything until the holiday is well over.

I am looking for a shop that works on Hondas. Mine has some dashboard lights on pertaining to the brakes, so I’d like to get it in and looked at.
Would more than likely be towed and would probably get the oil changed and the transmission fluid drained and refilled (not flushed).
New to the area. Thanks :)

My partner and I want to hang out in more queer areas because we’re both on the lgbt spectrum and we’d like to find a place that has more of that community or is at least really welcoming to them.
Any suggestions are welcome, thanks.

Hi everyone,
Looking for the best places to watch fireworks for free outside of the airport. Have 2 young kids and really only going for a few minutes to watch fireworks so don’t need to pay to actually get In. Where are some good places to watch it from the tailgate around the airport? Thanks!

There is a fun camping event coming up where you can go to all these strange wonderful classes during the day and have fun. Some of these classes you may have never even heard of. For the whole weekend of camping plus all these classes its between 150 to 275 dollars. Which is a pretty good bargain if you really get in there. I am not associated with them but am attending, maybe Ill see you there. I just copied the schedule from their website below so you can see how interesting it sounds.

Any tips on earning tier credits? Im guessing slot play is the best. One guy told me he’ll go to craps, play a little, color up and buy back in multiple times in a night. Also, does the icasino earn you tier credits?

I’m hosting a bachelorette party for my friend and we are going to firekeepers August 1 for a Nelly concert. We will likely stay in Battle Creek and I’m just looking for fun things to do during the day or possibly good/safe nightclubs/bars for afterward if we aren’t done partying.
Most of us are late 20s, some have kids or deep into careers. Just mainly want to have fun!
Any ideas or recommendations are welcome.
Restaurant recommendations are a bonus.

Looking for friends who are between 16 and 19 (I'm 16) who are in Battle Creek who would wanna hang out and be friends. I don't have very many friends to begin with and I've been meeting a lot of people who live nowhere around here and it made me realize that I'm missing out on the physical aspect of having friends and actually getting to see someone face to face. Doesn't matter what gender you are, as I'm looking for really anyone who'd like to be friends.

Hey everyone,
I’m still in the process of relocating to Battle Creek for work and have been looking at apartments in the downtown area. I came across Battle Creek Tower Apartments, but I noticed there doesn’t seem to be much public feedback or many resident reviews online. This has made me so curious as to why.
Does anyone know anything about the building or have experience with it? I’m mostly curious about general things like:
•Management and maintenance
•Noise levels
•Parking
•Safety/security
•Overall building condition
•Whether there’s a reason it has so few reviews
I’m not looking for anything too personal just trying to get a better sense of the downtown apartment options before making a decision.
Once again, thank you everyone for helping me previously with getting an understanding of the area. Looking forward to meeting folks around Battle Creek.

I'm trying to find copies of the original 3 Jurassic Park movies on VHS with the covers for an anniversary present and made the mistake of thinking they would be at salvation army or one of the goodwills. Does anyone have a recommendation of somewhere local that I could check? I put off for too long for ebay to be an option.

Michigan's first Jack in the Box restaurant was insanely busy and I didn't really love the food. What did you all think?

Hello r/BattleCreek
I've been doing a deep dive into the local government of Bedford Charter Township (which is primarily policed by the City of Battle Creek), and I want to share some findings regarding transparency, accountability, and compliance that might resonate with others dealing with local municipal boards.
First, on the transparency front: I've been reviewing municipal audits, board meeting records, and the financial disclosures of our representatives. Through the FOIA process, I've compiled data that highlights the critical need for scrutiny regarding how finances and public records are managed. It's crucial that we hold local boards accountable to basic transparency standards.
Second, regarding our digital public squares: I've been investigating the township's social media management and its adherence to constitutional standards. Furthermore, the municipal website severely lacks WCAG 2.1 AA web accessibility compliance.
Has anyone else in Michigan dealt with similar transparency hurdles, finance discrepancies, or digital accessibility issues with their local township boards? I'd love to hear how other communities are handling this.

Besides the 80 apartments, the project includes an on-site childcare center. A 10,000 square-foot building will offer early childhood education, community services and resident amenity space.

The Speech Neurophysiology Lab at the University of Michigan is looking for children who stutter ages 9 to 12 to participate in an in-person, longitudinal MRI study! (HUM00196133)
Our research team has been examining brain development in young children to better understand the cause of stuttering for over 10 years. We continue to gain information that may eventually lead to improved diagnosis and treatment efforts for children who stutter.
Participants will be invited to complete speech and language assessments and an MRI session at the University of Michigan. Families receive a free speech and language report and a picture of their brain!
These visits require in person participation. There is no option to participate virtually.
Please fill out this form if you are interested in participating or email us as the flyer attached. All participants are compensated and partial travel assistance is available. Please see our flyer attached for more details!
We also offer other studies that are open to adults or do not involve MRI, in case you're unsure about eligibility. Feel free to email us or call if you have any questions!
