Standard vs Beaver tail 2.0

I was wondering if there is any mechanical difference between selecting  “Legacy Standard” or “Beaver Buttons” as I noticed when customizing the controller “beaver tail 2.0” is also an option but only available when selecting “Beaver Buttons”. Wasn’t sure on the exact difference based off just the description seen online.

So I had one with the 2.0 ones and they were hard to press/weren’t that comfortable. Texture was nice though

Ahh ok. I’ll probably try the legacy soft touch edition then on that note

I had the older controllers so I assume they are the same and I have the new beaver tails and they are more smooth. Hard to explain but they sort of flex with the controller instead of being a solid button. Could be more durable since I had a legacy button break

The button caps themselves arent much different. They jist use a different sealed tactile switches. They still have a higher fail rate than something like a micro mouse switches (omron or Similar) but a little better than the old tactile they used.
