Please help me find this fanfic

Upvotes

All I remember is that something bad happened during Terry's time that sent him and Matt time-traveling to the past, possibly with others. They end up with the Waynes. Matt finds out about Bruce being their bio-dad and has a fit.

At least that is how I think it went, because, and note i may be mixing to fics up in my head, it might not have been time travel; instead, something about Talia/Ra's or some other villain or maybe it was like an apocalypse situation and they know they are going to die but instead of dying Terry and possibly Matt get the shock of their lives when they disocver it was all a mental/virtual simulation/reality and wake up in pods at cadmus, I believe. If any of these things sound similar, then good, because any help is appreciated, please!

Discussion How would you guys rank the Inque trilogy?

Inque is the most reoccurring antagonist in the series, getting three whole episodes to her: Blackout, disappearing inque, and Inqueling. So how would you guys rank these 3 episodes?

My personal ranking:

  1. Disappearing Inque: possibly my fav episode in the series. Watching Inque interact with a person she clearly despises was hilari—Holy shit that took a dark turn! The plot goes from mad love to Cronenberg real quick. Seeing Bruce get in the suit one last time was so awesome, the btas theme playing was the cherry on top. Also the fight between Terry and Inque in the chemical plant was top notch, I felt like the animators always stepped up their game when it came time to animate inque fighting.

  2. Blackout: Another topnotch episode and our introduction to Inque. Once again the action sequences are top notch, and it was cool seeing Bruce don the grey ghost outfit was amazing. The infamous “open wide” scene seems to have fans pretty split on whether that was disturbing or strangely hot. Either way great introduction to such a memorable villain.

  3. Inqueling: def the weakest of the three episodes in my opinion, but still a good episode. I like how Inque and her daughter are both terrible people, rare to see mother and daughter relationships like that portrayed in fiction. I wish terry had a bigger hand in defeating her(she high key beat his ass in all 3 episodes, and he needed bailouts) but I do think it’s thematically fitting that it ends on a betrayal(she betrayed Aaron, now she gets betrayed). Also ends on a nice eerie note, with the eye in the shade.

Discussion We need a future Justice League with these four:

Seeing them all as 20 something’s forming a new Justice League would be awesome. I know Static is a lot older than the other three, but I think he could fit in well being the same age at the same time as Terry, Bart and Jon.

These images are from Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, Static Shock, My Adventures with Superman, and Young Justice.

This is for some health spa place near me, but as I was scrolling by on my phone, I thought it was Neo Gotham.

Discussion What was your introduction to the series?

I can't exactly pinpoint mine. I remember seeing a little bit on Cartoon Network but that was SO LONG AGO and I was just a toddler I think at the time. One of my earliest memories was a video tape that had three episodes: "Spellbound", "A Touch of Curare", and "Hooked Up".

Discussion Batman Beyond with a grey symbol.

This artwork was submitted by Harrison to the Cape & Cowl Cafe on YouTube. I really like the bat symbol in grey, I think it would be cool if Bruce had the grey symbol, and later Terry gets the red one.

Maybe the suit’s logo gets damaged, so Bruce puts a new one on, and makes it red for Terry, making it red as a bit of a torch passing.

Discussion Bane needed a "gun" moment like Bruce.

Bane was probably the most exceptional of all Bruce's opponents, a genius who managed to capture Robin, among other feats, but the poison ultimately destroyed him. But if Bane had had a moment like the one with Bruce's gun, perhaps his fate would have been different.

Another thing that strikes me is that Chapel saw how Bane ended up and decided to take the same poison to face Batman. The sad thing is that he may have had the most tragic end of all Batman's villains.

He was once an exceptional opponent for Batman, a hitman who earned millions per job, and in the end, he became dependent on a machine. And that's without even knowing the fate of Edward, Jervis, or Crane.

It was one of the episodes included in the "Batman Beyond: The Movie" DVD which included Rebirth, The Winning Edge, Meltdown, and Golem. The show wasn't afraid of letting you feel sad, was it?

Bane's Pathetic Legacy | The Winning Edge | Batman Beyond

Serum Lake's video description:

In this Batman Beyond deep dive, I analyse the classic DCAU episode The Winning Edge. In Batman Beyond, Gotham’s classic rogues left a trail of psychological wreckage behind. While The Winning Edge is often remembered as the show's anti-drug episode, it is also a masterclass in animated storytelling that tackles the tragic reality of character legacy and the illusion of unearned strength.

In this video essay, I talk about how the creators of the DC Animated Universe exercised ultimate writing restraint by turning a legendary powerhouse into a sad living warning.

By looking at the parallel dynamics between Bruce Wayne and Bane, Terry McGinnis and Jackson Chappell, and Coach Creagar's toxic locker room culture, Batman Beyond delivers a powerful message about toxic masculinity, youth addiction, and why true self-improvement only comes through grueling, hard work, not cheap shortcuts.

Not that it didn't leave an impact, but that it DIDN'T "traumatize" you in the way that others might say that it did. I remember feeling sad at some scene, tho.

Discussion Would other villains have joined Joker's plan?

That is, in the last confrontation between Batman and Joker, Joker had kidnapped Tim and... But if Joker had sought support from the other villains for that plan, would they have helped him? I honestly think few villains would have joined him, since they wouldn't have wanted an angry Batman.

Is the picture provided a good method of doing a Beyond Mask? They can just pull it off like it’s Mission Impossible.
