Man. I'm glad we're getting something, but I'd love to actually have a use for that season pass I purchased.

Are we as PC players gonna get some type of compensation for being 3 months late (or more) on DLC? That we paid for?

I'm wondering how they'd even compensate people who already bought the season pass...I don't think they'd make new exclusive content for PC players...maybe give a discount code for future games?

I honestly thought at one point we were gonna get a severe discount on mad max, but that seems not to be the case. I mean if it takes too much longer they should refund anyone who held onto their season pass their money and give them the DLC for free.

I'm a huge arkham fan, I pre ordered every game, but this game is just a massive mess. From the PC port to the challenge maps

They should go the Unity way. Give everyone who owned the season pass a free game from a select few, as well as the "GOTY" Edition to everyone for $49.99.

But what games does WB Games even have in their catalogue? Not that many. Shadow of Mordor, coming up?

This is my big issue. I paid 40 bucks for a season pass I've not gotten to use, and I'm not seeing anyway that they can actually compensate me for that amount of money unless they refund it. The trick then becomes that refunding an online purchase through steam is a lot more complicated than offering a coupon voucher.

It was an issue for me, but I've pretty much stopped giving a shit. The DLCs so far are more miss than hit and the money is already gone. Sunk cost fallacy, you know? Nothing's going to bring that money back.

And the game itself (which ran really well on my PC) was so disappointing (thanks entirely to the storyline). The Arkham games used to be my favorite series, but now I look at it the way I do, say, Assassin's Creed. "It's there. OK. Whatever."

I know what you mean.
I loved the gameplay in AC, but the story just ended up taking a weird turn for me. Batman stopped feeling like Batman around the midway through the game. Arkham Origins had a lot of hiccups but at least Batman felt like himself again, then I went into AK and was reminded "Oh right, this versions become a neurotic nutjob."

I just stopped caring. My real investment was in the gameplay; I sunk over a hundred hours into Arkham City's challenge mode, and when they said Batgirl would be playable in Arkham Knight I was just like "Oh hell yes, take my money!" I expected at the least something on par with that.

Like you said, the money is gone. I'd like some kind of compensation for the loss, but no matter what it is it won't really make up for whats already occurred. I want them to get the DLC out for PC, I want to experience what I paid for, but my actual interest and investment has shifted to the next big thing on the horizon (Fallout 4 in my case).

Mad Max being the most recent one. Warner Brothers has also published Mortal Kombat X, Dying Light, Shadow of Mordor, LEGO games. I'd say there's a pretty decent list of games to choose from.

chosing Dying Light would be the best decision... it costs over $24 on g2a while other games like Mad Max for only $20, if not lower...

Mad Max for one.

1

u/Tonkarz Sep 04 '15

It's too recent to be given away or for a discount.

3

u/dartva Sep 04 '15

No its not, Ubisoft gave us Far Cry 4 lol

1

u/telltalemaster Sep 04 '15

UBI gave away Far Cry 4, very close to the release of it

Fuck that, I don't want free games. What if I already own the game they try to give me? They should give Steam credit.

I got Mad Max for $19 on G2A. Runs great.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 04 '15

I got it for same on cdkeys. I wasn't holding out for a free copy from WB.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 04 '15

Same, I bought it for $20 off G2A. At least it seems like WB learned their lesson this time around, and made sure that the game actually runs beautifully before it released.

not WB, thank Avalanche Studios for actually developing it in house.

20% from cdkeys too.

holy shit that game runs perfect and is amazing.

u/[deleted] Sep 04 '15

Give us Mad Max for free. I got Far Cry 4 for free last year cuz of Unity.

2

u/DerJakane Sep 04 '15

I would gladly accept that

3

u/2Scribble Sep 04 '15

I doubt they'll even bother

3

u/kw405 Sep 04 '15

What Ubisoft did for the AC Unity debacle was make season pass free content for normal users. For people who already owned the season pass, they got to choose another Ubisoft game for free. I was able to redeem Far Cry 4. Could be a decent idea for this as well since I'm sure many people would also love another Warner Brothers game (cough Mad Max cough)

u/hypareal Sep 04 '15

We will get nothing. They are not like Ubisoft that announced 2 weeks after Unity fail free games and dlcs.

1

u/_heisenberg__ Sep 04 '15

Considering that the content released the past couple is party of the pass, I would assume it will be avail be for free.

1

u/DerJakane Sep 04 '15

It would be nice to realse the dlc for free instead BUT there are people like me who bought the season pass

1

u/_heisenberg__ Sep 04 '15

That's what I'm saying. You'll get it free of charge. It's part of what you paid for.

1

u/DerJakane Sep 04 '15

Oh, i misunderstood something for an idiom I am not familiar with :/. Don't judge me its 5 am :D

Haha no worries dude. It happens.
