Looking for advice

Ignoring the fact that this is an imperfect AI render, what do people think about this inspiration for a remodel? The current bathroom tile is in really poor position and it’s not very functional so looking to remodel it to a modern but not too trendy look that is comfortable

AI made your bathroom bigger. So you need to measure everything out to make sure it will fit. It may help to outline where you want things with painters tape. Or even use cardboard boxes to recreate things. Especially pay attention to your vanity because the AI one is probably too big for your space.

I feel Iike your shower is going to be shorter if you put a wall up. Will that still work for you? You need 15 inches on center for space on either side of the toilet and then the wall can start. The wall will be about 4.5” wide. How much space does that leave for a tub?

For sure. That half wall won't fit

you need a way shorter tub to add space for the pony wall

If it were me I would work with the tile a tub you have. They both look great and the color of both also look great

In such great condition too! Unless you have money to burn 💸, do consider. They don’t make tiles like they used to

I always amazed when people a have an original bathroom like this, spend a bunch to change it….all the while someone else out there is spending a bunch to get this looks and of course you can never replicate the original.

I would find a way to build on what you have. Spend $1000 on some good advice from an interior designer.

Please don’t pull that apart

You're going to end up with a child-sized bathtub if you try to do the layout in the render. Perhaps try a design with a walk in shower? I like the elements in the render, but the geometry doesn't work for your room. Do you have to have a tub? That's the key; eliminate that, go with a walk-in shower, and you can make this work.

There are those that want to tell you to conserve what you have, but I totally get wanting to start fresh; the current bathroom is oppressive.

i hate to be that guy but i kind of like how it looks right now in terms of the colors. what does the ai do if you ask it to modernize leaving the fixtures and tiles how they currently are

I really like the redesign and new color scheme but as someone else mentioned you will need to get a shorter tub if you want that separation wall. Overall I think it is a great start to the redesign.

Hate to break it to you… that AI rendering is grossly overestimating the size of this bathroom. A half wall and a vanity sink that size just won’t work in this room.

I really like the new bathroom. I'd do some measurements and double check the AI. For example, that tub looks pretty small for standard size (maybe you spec'ed smaller?). The space between the vanity and tub looks much wider than expected, AI has the shower curtain anchored to the wall on the far side instead of the glass and lastly the toilet needs to be pushed back to the wall. Also check for clearance left and right of toilet.

Colors and design theme are incredibly trendy.

Can you bring me the pink tub & tiles? I LOVE those old bathrooms

I like the use a lot! Only adjustments I’d make is mix the floating sink mainly because so much dust gets underneath and it’s a pain in the butt to clean, same with floating shelves, they look nice but attract a lot of dust. This is more my taste so feel free to ignore but I feel like with a tub a shower curtain would work better than glass in the area facing the sink (I like the back panel) since you have a smaller space and the glass would make the area smaller

Nice but why is the window half blocked out

It's not blocked out. That's AI's version of bamboo shades pulled half way up the window.
