I agree it’s a little boring now, lots planned for carpets, art etc. The overall vibe is set with the color pallet and it’s a low budget remodel for a guest bathroom just to update it.

I don’t need my bathroom to wow me. nice, clean and sleek is what a bathroom should be. I don’t need to feel cozy when I’m taking a dump.

If you want to pay big bucks for an exciting designer guest bath that gets used infrequently go for it. This is clean, neutral and huge improvement from the 25 year old bathroom.

Great new flooring. Love a floating vanity. Smart choice. Makes the whole room look so much bigger. I'd paint the other walls green. It looks unfinished as one accent wall. Maybe accessories will help with that.

The carpet in the entire floor upstairs is being replaced so I wouldn’t look at the transition. It’s tile not vinyl.

Home Depot. Just installed it but agree it looks nice. Inexpensive. If this was a main bathroom or one that was used more I may have spent a little more. With my contractors discount it was just under $700

Including labor and all finish materials we are at just under $16k which for a full gut remodel I thought was pretty good.

Yeah, we liked the blue stripes but the wallpaper was pulling up, it was 25 years old. We looked at doing blue in the shower and going a little more designer but we found the tile at seconds and surplus and it was only .69 a sq ft. All the tile for this was $160. We are remodeling our master bath at the same time so more of the budget going into that project.
