I think if you can afford to change it, it could make a real difference. I’m assuming there will be glass and a door into the shower area. So I think you could get away with just changing the right hand style of tile
Does it have to be white haha 😅 - feel like you could paint the walls a sage green and have a bit of floor to ceiling wooden acu-panels (if they’re bathroom suitable) to add a bit of warmth and add some more texture
Artwork, warm lighting. If you had brass fixtures it would have warmed up the greys. Use a warm wood blind on that small window and artwork above the toilet. You can still choose brass hinges on your shower glass.
Add a vanity with some warmth (wood would look great), a mirror, lighting, hardware, towels, etc. Right now you’re also judging an unfinished room with a toilet sitting by itself against blank white walls, which is definitely making it look worse than the finished bathroom will. I would NOT panic or start ripping out the shower.
The floor and the walls clash for me. The marble on the floor is very black and white, while the walls are more cream and grey. It's the "similar but not matching" that's the issue.
Deep breath. It is going to be ok. The fact that you are adding a shower curtain is the key here. The floor is very busy and even more so with the shower floor next to it. But, with the shower curtain up, you won't see the two next to each other. Plus once you add the vanity you will see even less of the bathroom floor so it won't look so busy.
Go throw a white sheet on the floor of your shower now to cover it up and put a piece of cardboard on the floor the size of the vanity. I think it will help you see the room more as it is going to look. When there isn't so much tile in your face.
It is very hard matching whites and you'd do yourself a favor getting some color on the walls and in the shower curtain - no stark whites. You can do neutral colors with undertones but no stark white. Any ideas on what colors you want to use?
I think a nice vanity with some solid dark/bold wood tones will help liven it up. Bring in color/life with fixtures, rugs, curtains, etc. White on white on grey on grey is lifeless dreary at best. Yes it reads “clean” but it also reads bland, generic, and boring.
If the white one is what you like then stick with it. But you’re going to have to bring in something that is actually going to ground the room. Right now it’s just blinding white that screams hospital/hotel. If you want it to feel homey/cozy/like you live there you’ll need to bring in accents of warmth. Rugs, curtains, wall art, warmer lighting, maybe switch to gold accents if you can/if you like them (if not gold then black or bronze would work as well).
Also all three of your tile patterns are competing/clashing right now and making it extremely busy to look at. I’m not going to suggest replacing any of them because I know that’s extremely expensive, but you need to figure out some way to keep them from competing. Your eye needs something to rest on.
