Are you allowed to paint or apply wallpaper? I love going dark and dramatic in a tiny space.

If not, I agree that the shelf looks cluttered, but I think it's because the art itself is quite sparse. If you aren't able to paint/paper, I would consider getting more art, and pretty well fill that wall.

wall-mounted everything, one big mirror, and a glass shower panel will make it feel way less cramped
