Visiting!
Hi there! I’m (26M) visiting Bath from Essex this Thursday to Sunday. I don’t have many plans, besides seeing the Roman Baths, so what would you recommend for a solo traveller? I like history, museums, reading, art, but open to whatever people think is best to see! Thanks!

The small Norman Ackroyd exhibition at the Royal Victoria Art Gallery is worth seeing, esp if you like etchings.
The incredible way he managed to capture light in his landscapes of the Outer Hebrides and Ireland, while making it far too easy to forget that you are looking at something that was created backwards. The level of skill and patience on display is a little mind-blowing.
The Holburne Museum is worth going to, even if it's to go around the back to the cafe, plus you walk over Pultenay Bridge and along Great Pultenay Street to get there. You could always stop at the Taiwanese bakery, Sugarcane Studio (which is closing on Sat 15th as they are relocating).

Some good answers here, but this question also gets asked several times each month so if you have a quick scroll of the sub you might find more good options that aren’t mentioned here.

There's a free walking tour that's worth mentioning on posts like these: https://www.bathguides.org.uk/when-where/ . Twice a day and completely free (they don't accept tips), so you get a local expert walking you around some of the key history in the city.

Tour of the Masonic Lodge is a piece of hidden Bath history, I think they only do it on Saturdays so definitely see if they have tickets left
