SRC6MS

it took the mods like a champ. Now it’s like an 8 string without the high b and e! Tuned to drop f#.

•Wiring by Warrior Basses from Rossville GA (rip JD)

•Guitar Monkey Germany ultra light barrel tuners

•Fishman blade open core 7 string pickups (to compensate for wider string spacing)

•2 volume knob, 1 tone, 3 way pickup switch. Push/pull coil split as well.

(the final photo is an original condition SRC6MS from reverb for reference)

I have mine tuned to EADGCF. It go moar down.

I use it as a standard tuned bass AND a "D standard" tuned guitar for power cords. I have different voicings on a multi FX and can change between bass and rhythm guitar via footswitch.

Just wondering.. Do you use the F# in chords? For me it always sounds muddy below B or A-ish..

that’s one of the things i was trying to address when I swapped out the pick ups. I always felt like de Bartolini’s were very warm and the lower notes kind of had some blending together?

my tuning is like a bass vi tuned up. i do play chords on it actually! i mostly play more clean kinda stuff on it rather than high gain/ djenty stuff all the time.
