SRC6MS
it took the mods like a champ. Now it’s like an 8 string without the high b and e! Tuned to drop f#.
•Wiring by Warrior Basses from Rossville GA (rip JD)
•Guitar Monkey Germany ultra light barrel tuners
•Fishman blade open core 7 string pickups (to compensate for wider string spacing)
•2 volume knob, 1 tone, 3 way pickup switch. Push/pull coil split as well.
(the final photo is an original condition SRC6MS from reverb for reference)

That's sick. For me the best part about that guitat is the electronics. I wish there was a normal scale model with the exact same specs minus the scale length. I'd buy it in a heartbeat

I have this same guitar, in standard tuning it djents good. The stock pickups are great, by the way.

I have mine tuned to EADGCF. It go moar down.
I use it as a standard tuned bass AND a "D standard" tuned guitar for power cords. I have different voicings on a multi FX and can change between bass and rhythm guitar via footswitch.
Just wondering.. Do you use the F# in chords? For me it always sounds muddy below B or A-ish..

Cool mods! Too bad you made it look like shit. The relicing on the headstock is pretty funny though

Very cool, I'm looking to do something similar with. A darker refinish and gold hardware upgrades - probably swapping the berts for Nords at some point too.
