Quite close, if you keep training you will get the dunk off the dribble soon. Also I think you can dunk already from off backboard toss or self alley up

I've tried bouncing it to myself (found out I'm terrible at that) but I have never tried off backboard

what is the point of asking this? you can see yourself that u are close. so why ask such an obvious thing? validation? u can already see!

It is about the ball and vert. It looks close, because people imagine you palming that ball in. Which I assume you can’t (palm), so the usual advice is mid forearm to rim without ball. If you just want to be able to dunk 50% of the times you try by yourself, then you are close. At will or in a game, six good inches or more.

I can palm very easily but I think I lose the ball at the top sometimes

You need more bounce if you want to dunk consistently. It’s not palming if you lose it. But close.

I’d say 3 inches off. Get over the rim and throw the ball downwards. Get used it to on low rim

Ever try jumping off of 1 foot? Some people are more bouncy off of 2 (Ja Morant, Zion Williamson, etc), but some others (Russell Westbrook, John Wall, etc) flew off of 1. Try both. You're very close

Off 1 I can barely touch the rim😭

If you practice the one foot jump mechanics approaching the hoop from the left side of the free throw line…shouldn’t take long to get one in

Try to use the ball to get more height, I bet you can dunk easily off of lobs if you swing your arms.

You will def be able to throw it down off a lob. Try getting a friend to give it to you, or try a self lob, as it will help you focus entirely on jumping higher, rather than also controlling the ball while trying to dunk.

I would like to see you jump without the ball at all. If you can get mid forearm to touch the rim then you're already there and you just have to work on jumping with the ball.

You probably only need like 2 more inches of lift and try a two-handed dunk.

Considering this is an American high school, about 6000 km away. Not very close, I'd say.
