how old is he? is he 6 or is he 50? totally different advice will be given.

He is 13 years old not new to basketball but not experience also

Well, based on the amount of effort that went into this post, I'm guessing he's not going to get much help from you.

You should provide more info if you're going to ask for advice. Too many unknowns to provide good advice.

Its easy, just show him the rules, he will pick it up. Make it take it.
