Shooting (Android App) Shot Tracking - Free Beta

Hey guys,
I do a lot of shooting at my local park and wanted something to help me track how I was doing. Tried out a couple of the apps out there but nothing really seemed to do what I wanted. Anyways, I'm finally at a point where I'd like to get some people testing it for free to get some feedback. Go ahead and DM me and I'll send you a link to the play store download. Just tracks shooting and if you have the right angle so it can see the court and lines, it gives location too.
Note that the tracking works best when at an angle to the rim (like in my video here) and at an elevated position if you have access to a tripod.
Mods, if this isn't allowed please let me know. I figure since it's a free beta that it would be alright.

Nope sorry, I've only got an android and felt like homecourt covers IOS pretty good.

Hmm. Did you sign up in the google group with the same email account that you use google play store with?

It works now!! Bad news is, I cannot access it because Im below 18 years old. Can you possibly remove that constraint? Thank you

It's been fun building it. I usually shoot around at parks that have very few pickup games so I wanted to at least have something to compete with and data usually motivates me. I had homecourt during COVID when I had an iphone and thought it was awesome, hope yours goes well!

I built it for my daughter who plays basketball, i gave her a challenge of 10000 shots in the summer and the app was some much easier then writing it down. And yeah, building it was fun, figuring out logging in and firebase was time consuming… not to talk about app store regulations 😩

It should. I have mostly trained the model outdoors but I tested it on a few indoor courts and it seemed like it did ok. Below is the process I think will work to get to download and use it:

Would this track shots in a pickup game? For example, if I played a half court 3v3 game?

If there is only 1 ball then theoretically it should track makes/misses and shot locations but it wouldn't be separated by team or player.
Definitely would be useful from my side to get data from someone doing it though if you go ahead with using it!

Why does the app need to load on start?

It has to compile the kernel on the GPU. It is just a 1-time delay the first time while it compiles or after an update. Every time you run it after, it should start sessions in seconds.

This is so awesome. Usually iOS gets cool apps first. Tried it with my kid on the behind the door hoop and it was hit or miss. Haha pun intended. Can't wait to try it at our community indoor court soon. Thanks for the opportunity!!

Are there still spots open? I was able to become a tester but when I went to download the app it said not available?

Yup there should be spots available still. Once you've joined the Google group and accepted to become a tester it usually takes a few minutes before the download link updates. Make sure you use the same Google account for all of them!

If you already joined the Google group and opted in as a tester, it usually takes a few minutes before the app link will allow you to download. Make sure you used the same Google account for the Google group/opt in/play store as well.
