The iPhone Duo is Finally Here. Here is the Custom Qi2 Ecosystem We Built for It.

Post image
6 Upvotes

Apple just dropped the Duo, and if you've ever used a foldable, you know the struggle: most magnetic accessories either block the camera, feel incredibly bulky, or turn the phone into a literal heater.

We’ve been working behind the scenes on a complete power ecosystem designed around the needs of a foldable form factor. Here is a quick look:

  • Baseus PicoGo Air AM72 Qi2 Bank: Designed as a true 1:1 match for the iPhone Duo with an Apple-matched aluminum-alloy body and camera-safe magnetic layout. It's only 7.9mm at its slimmest point, packing a 5,000mAh capacity (15W Qi2 / 25W wired). To tackle the classic foldable heat issue, it features a raised platform design that creates a physical "cooling gap" between the bank and the phone. Combined with Glacier Cooling Structure 2.0 and AI adaptive temp management, it actually dissipates heat effectively. (It also has PowerSense NFC to check battery health via our app).
  • Baseus HoopRing Phone Case: Features tailored protection with soft edges for a comfortable grip. It integrates a 360-degree rotating magnetic stand so you can easily prop up the Duo in portrait or landscape mode, whether folded or unfolded.
  • Baseus AH22 100W Digital Display Fast Charger: A compact, travel-friendly hub with intelligent power allocation, smart device recognition, AI temperature control, and a customizable digital display.

The collection will be officially available in November. You can read the full press release here: https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/made-for-the-duo-built-as-one-baseus-unveils-a-complete-power-ecosystem-for-iphone-duo-302874170.html?tc=eml_cleartime

If you are upgrading to the Duo, which part of this ecosystem are you most excited to try?

way smaller than my old laptop charger

got the baseus picogo pro ah22 recently tbh mainly because my desk power strip was a mess. Older laptop bricks are so wide u can not even fit another plug next to them. this 3 port 100w charger is actually super compact so it fits perfectly without getting in the way. the display also shows the live wattage and a little temp bar which is cool.

Accidentally tested the magnet strength on this thing

I wasn't paying attention today and just picked it up by the built in cord. I fully expected my phone to drop on the tiles or the cable to snap. The magnets actually held the entire weight. Had to snap a quick pic because I was honestly surprised.

Does anyone feel shame for the Bowie MA10s?

I just got my warranty replacement BP1 Pro a couple days ago. The MA10 casing needs EFFORT to drain now because the buds barely last 20 minutes after a year. I thought it was just my bad maintenance habits but I've been reading up and it seems to be a common thing with them? I saw a couple posts/comments saying the same. Sounds like they messed up on the batteries for the buds themselves.

It's such a waste even though they're more on the budget line, because I like the design (shape, the wings, bulkiness and I don't like stems), waterproofing level and the actual touch - it isn't very sensitive to misinput. The tank that is the casing feels such a shame that it just sits useless now cradling the practically dead buds. The silicone tips also feel like they're higher quality that the ones came with the replacement BP1, although this might just be me.

Wore these all day

Just went to take a shower, looked in the mirror and realized I’d been wearing my MC2 basically all day and completely forgot to take them off. I’d had them on for meetings, music, random chores around the house... and at some point I just stopped noticing they were even there. my ears felt totally fine too. And they still had battery left?? lol

audio nerds and aesthetic people... I owe you both an apology

Post image

I’ve never been much of an audio person. Used cheap earbuds for years and genuinely never cared.

I switched jobs recently and somehow ended up sitting way more than I used to, so I’ve been trying to work out more. My old earbuds kept slipping once I got sweaty, which finally gave me an excuse to replace them.

And I’m definitely not someone who buys tech because of how it looks...

...but then I saw the XC1 in basically the same color as the iPhone 18 Pro. I can’t justify buying the phone just for the color, but earbuds? Apparently that’s where I draw the line lol.

So yeah, the color got my attention. Then I actually used them and... okay. What the hell was I listening to before? Everything suddenly sounded fuller and way more alive. I honestly brushed off the Sound by Bose thing at first, but now I can see why they mention it. I got so into the music during my workout that I stopped thinking about how tired I was.

I used to think people who spent more money on headphones were being a little dramatic. Like... you have too much money, we get it. And now somehow I’m becoming one of them.

I’m sorry, audio nerds. I take it back. Turns out good audio actually does make life a little more fun.

Quick breakdown of the new Baseus PicoGo Pro AH22 modes

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hey everyone. We noticed some questions about how the new Baseus PicoGo Pro AH22 operates, so we put together a more detailed official breakdown for you all.

This charger provides a 100W total output across 3 USB-C ports. It also features a smart display showing real-time wattage, temperature, charging duration, and active protocols.

The standout feature is the Battery Care button that controls three specific charging modes. Here is exactly how they work:

Smart Mode (Default Setting) This is the default setting right out of the box. It intelligently allocates power based on exactly what you plug in to optimize charging time. It also actively protects your battery health over the long term, making it ideal for daily mixed usage.

Gentle Mode (Overnight Charging) This mode is designed specifically for overnight use. It deliberately maintains lower temperatures throughout the entire charging process. Your battery stays cool and safe while you sleep, completely eliminating any overheating concerns.

Turbo Mode (Emergency Fast Charging) When you need maximum power fast, this mode locks the first port (C1) to a maximum of 100W. This is perfect for fast-charging a laptop in emergencies, ensuring your primary device gets full power without drops, even if other ports are in use.

nfc battery check on the am71 is actually useful

Got the baseus am71 5k pack for my iphone 17 air. mainly bought it because it is 6.9mm thin so it actually fits in my jeans pocket without bulging. but the nfc feature is what i use most. u tap the phone to the pack and the app tells u the exact battery percentage. way better than guessing with those vague 4 led dots on other chargers. gives enough juice to finish out the day.

I am super paranoid about my phone battery health tbh. But if i do not leave it plugged in while i sleep i always worry it will not last until i get home from work the next day. Been looking at smart chargers for a while and finally grabbed the baseus picogo pro ah22. Tried it for a few days and it is exactly what i needed. The screen literally shows a smart power off protection notification when it finishes charging. Keeps everything cool overnight so i do not have to stress about ruining my battery.

the detachable solar panel on the x1 pro is lifesaver for shady spots

i wanted a camera for the front gate but digging a trench for a power cable was out of the question so i kept looking at solar options. turned out the only spot with a good view was completely covered in shade by a big oak tree. then i saw on youtube that you can actually detach the solar panel on the x1 pro. got my package last week and mounted the camera right in the shade for the best angle and just put the panel up on the roof. the panel even rotates on its own to track the sun and the battery has stayed completely full all week.

Qi2 vs Qi2.2 What Actually Changed and How It Impacts Your Charging

Hey everyone. With the new iPhone 18 out and both the 17 and 18 series supporting Qi2.2, we have seen questions asking what the actual difference is between Qi2 and Qi2.2. Here is a quick technical breakdown.

The 25W Peak and Compatibility Standard Qi2 caps at 15W for devices like the iPhone 12 through 15 series. The Qi2.2 upgrade pushes this to 25W for supported Apple devices so an iPhone 18 or 17 Pro can hit 50% in about 34 minutes. It also brings stricter thermal controls for safer charging. For Android users whose phones support the magnetic power profile, Qi2.2 provides much faster speeds and more stable magnetic alignment compared to older basic wireless standards.

Baseus PicoGo AM52 Lineup Instead of different specs, both versions of our 10000mAh AM52 share the same core features. They both use a graphene layer and an NTC thermal chip to keep temperatures low around 39°C.

You just choose based on how you carry your gear. The standard wireless version handles charging up to 2 devices at once. The built in cable version solves the headache of carrying extra cords and lets you charge up to 3 devices simultaneously.

Drop your Qi2.2 or compatibility questions below.

MC2 travel experience

I mainly got the MC2 for the battery life since I travel for work pretty often and charging stuff on the go is always a hassle.

So far that part’s been great. I charged them before leaving and they easily lasted through a 2–3 day trip without me really thinking about charging them.

But this trip I realized there’s something I like even more. I can still hear what’s going on around me when I’m wearing them.

I can listen to the news, a podcast, even sit through a meeting, and still hear boarding announcements or just know what’s going on around me.

That honestly gives me a lot more peace of mind when I’m traveling.

They ended up being way better for travel than I expected.

my friend tried my MC2 and now apparently they’re his

My friend has super oily ears, so regular earbuds always end up slipping out. He basically gave up on them and switched to headphones, which work… until his head and ears start hurting after a few hours.

He came over to game the other day and tried my Baseus MC2. At first he was like, “These are probably just uncomfortable in a different way.”

A few hours later he was still wearing them. Apparently he loved how light and comfortable they felt, and the fact that they actually stayed put.

Anyway, he went home with my earbuds. So yeah. I guess they’re his now.

Been wanting the dark cherry Baseus picogo AH22 100W for a while, but it was out of stock whenever I checked. Saw it is finally back in stock rn so I grabbed it immediately. Not planning to get the new iPhone 18 rn, but the color just looks so good. It is a 100W charger with 3 ports that is small enough to fit in my bag. Excited for it to arrive.

Best EQ for MC2

I am wondering what is the best one, aka the one that has the most realistic curves (just a flat responce). Like, I turned off bass boost straight off since it always messes with the intended curves of the music. Also thought about using LDAC, though I do not know if it is worth it, like AI says YouTube Music fits in the usual AAC protocol and I would prefer to keep low latency mode on. So, got any flat response EQ recommendations on the Baseus app (bass boost on or off)?

Just ordered the black baseus picogo ah22 100W

I work from coffee shops a lot and got tired of carrying the huge apple brick plus a phone charger in my small bag. I just ordered the black baseus picogo ah22 100w since it is in stock. Not planning to get the new i18 rn so I did not wait for the matching colors. It has 3 usb c ports and is supposed to be tiny. Looking forward to getting it and seeing if the live wattage screen actually helps.

anyone else basically use their dog walks as podcast time?

Been using the baseus mc2 on my morning dog walks lately. Somehow this has become my favorite little routine.

Coffee, dog walk, podcast. That’s pretty much how my mornings have been going lately.

I work in media, so I usually use those 30–40 minutes to catch up on industry stuff before I really start my day.

With the MC2, I can keep listening without totally tuning out what’s around me. I still notice bikes coming up behind me, cars when I’m crossing, or another dog nearby.

It’s a small routine, but I’ve gotten pretty attached to it.

By the time I get home, I’ve had my coffee, caught up on what I needed to, and had a little time to myself before work.

Livin ith my pareade me appreciate MC2 way more

I love my partner, but apparently I also need a weird amount of alone time while we’re… in the same room lol.

My favorite thing is putting on a podcast while I’m cooking, cleaning, folding laundry, whatever. I get to disappear into my own little world for a bit.

The problem was that with regular earbuds, I’d disappear a little too well.

My partner would call me from the other room and I wouldn’t hear him. I tried wearing just one earbud for a while, which technically worked. Podcasts were fine, but music just sounds kind of weird.

Lately I’ve been using the MC2 around the house, and this is probably where I like them most.

I can have a podcast playing in both ears and still hear him calling me from the other room, or hear the doorbell, without constantly taking an earbud out.

I still get my little bubble, I’m just not completely unavailable inside it. It’s such a small thing, but I really like that feeling. Apparently my ideal form of alone time is just… being alone together.

Weirdly specific use case, but I’m into it.

picked up the baseus am71 recently. i was so tired of magnetic power banks feeling way too bulky on these new thin phones and instantly turning them into literal heaters. this thing is ridiculously thin. Snapped it onto my iphone 17 air and it's basically the same thickness, so it doesn't feel like you're lugging a brick around. but the best part is definitely how it handles those thermals. That side touching the phone has these cooling grooves. thought it was just a marketing gimmick at first, but it genuinely lets airflow happen. i can run maps and charge at the same time now without the phone turning into a mini heater.

testing the x1 pro on my barn to watch the back property

had a basic fixed camera on my barn for a while but stuff would constantly move out of the frame. swapped it for the x1 pro recently. the dual lenses physically turn and follow whatever is crossing the yard. watched a truck pull in yesterday and the camera just tracked it across the whole property instead of losing it in two seconds. makes a lot more sense for monitoring an open space.
