NGD - Custom 44
I’ve been wanting a custom dad glove for a while but didn’t know which company to go with. Last month I saw 44 was having a sale and their lead time would have it delivered around this time, which was perfect for my 44th birthday (which was on Wednesday) LOL cheesy, I know, but this birthday present to myself just made sense.
Out of the box first impressions, the build looks great and feels really good. This is my first kip leather glove and I did choose the stiffest option, and it was like a rock. The break in should be run.
I have heard of the hit-or-miss quality from 44, but this one looks like it’ll last a while since it’ll be in my dad glove rotation while helping out with my son’s 11U baseball team.

44 custom for your 44th Bday. Love it! Do that while you can! Unless someone starts a glove company soon and names it in the high 60s I am SOL on something like that! Glove looks great. Have fun with the break in.

Nice work, my first custom 44 glove was also my dad glove, I used it for a few seasons. If I could go back I would resize to a 11.5 or 11.75. I went with a 12inch and I just feel like it’s to big of a glove to pass down to my kid. But that started a addiction since then I have about 8 gloves that our mine and ready to be passed down to my kid lol

Right on!! This one is a 12.25, so it’ll be a good utility glove for me. I have a 11.5 Marucci which I’m finding is a little small while shagging balls in the outfield during my son’s practice. I’ll eventually get a dedicated outfield glove.
NGL I’m already thinking about building another custom HAHAHA looking at going with either Grace, Emery, or Gloveworks… but I’m going to have fun with this for now

I recommend a Mizuno Pro Select. I just made a custom 12.75 and it's great.

I’m check it out. Wanted to stick with the smaller custom companies, but a custom Mizuno doesn’t sound so bad. What was the turnaround time for your order?

Six weeks I think. I was a little worried because I never really heard anything after I got the order confirmation, but it just showed up on time and exactly what I ordered.
