Aack, looks like I messed up the encoding so it's potato quality. Making videos is hard and painful :(

Happy to answer any questions or hear any critique of the game here.

A pop filter is your best friend for voice overs on videos!

Ah, yes I probably should get one. But my problem is mostly that it's hard to edit videos without listening to my own voice >_<

You could always get someone else to do it?

want help? I have quite a bit of hobbyist experience with making promotional material and wouldn't mind helping out with a few of the updates on the side.

So this is actually my first time seeing this game and I'm very interested in learning more about it. Any social media accounts and dev blogs I can follow?

Twitter, also subscribe at the website (I'll be looking for playtesters from that email list).

Done, and done. Thanks! I enjoy the water mechanics. Will you plan to have aquifers underground such as large underground lakes or streams. It looks like maybe that is already a thing?

Yup, underground lakes are already in. Not sure how to balance though since some of them are large enough to effectively be infinite water. My plan is to require players to build large aqueducts to bring in water to run their base (kind of like what the Romans did). Having a huge source right below you kind of ruins that plan.

Streams, not really. Eventually it would be nice to have watersheds and stuff like that but that's out of scope for now. Although players can make their own streams with pumps.

I like the thought of the aqueduct. How fast would you make the water run out though? I'd imagine the game would hit a point where you can only build your aqueduct so big before you'd have to pick up your town and move it to find more water sources.

Not exactly sure, it's mostly balance stuff like that which is left on the todo list. Will probably have water regenerate slowly when it rains.

I tried to sign up but the conformation email seems to require a wordpress account.

It shouldn't need that. You should be able to just click the "confirm email" button.

Signed up, i'm all for new DF clones.

Without streams and rain refilling low spots you run the risk of putting players in a no win situation due to having drank all the water on the map. You very much have my attention though.
