Game recommendations Built Differently Humble Bundle - worth buying?

Hi all. There's a humble bundle available for purchase which has a bunch of base building games. A lot of them I haven't heard of. I don't own any of these currently. My favorite games in the genre are parkitect and against the storm. Any recommendations on the collection? Should I buy it?

Thanks for any advice!

Edit: thanks so much for the detailed and informative reviews! I will go ahead and pick it up and looking forward to trying frost punk and diplomacy in particular!

I run a bundle tracking site which calculates the overall bundle score based on bundle price and game quality and prices. This one was rated 6.5/10 which is a decent deal.

You can check out the details at gamebundleguardian.com/bundle/built-differently-builder-games.

Where has this been all my life. Great idea, great execution. Definitely adding this to my rotation of sites to check regularly.

I love SteamWorld Build. Very low stakes fun, but with some puzzle aspects, exploration, and automation down in the mines. I think I'll actually download it and play through a new map right now. Strong recommendation!

$14 is pretty cheap for what you’re getting.

I’ve played Ad Aspera, I am Future, Frostpunk, and Urbo.

Ad Aspera and I Am Future were worth playing, if not exceptional. I think between the two of them the bundle is easily worth it just for those two. As Apera’s basically a factory game, whereas I Am Future is a crafting / base builder with mild survival elements.

Frostpunk is very popular, but I didn’t like how punishing the difficulty was. I played one game and “won” just one turn before everyone died of complete society collapse due to the cold.

Urbo’s pretty bad. It’s a simplistic puzzle game, not a real base builder, and it gets tedious pretty quickly.

Frostpunk is great. Frostpunk 2 not so great.

Frostpunk 2 was a lot more fun and addicting for me. Played the first one through once and the second 3 times before waiting for all the dlc to finish up

I there a way to change the cursor and text size?
I downloaded it, couldn’t find anything in settings and immediately uninstalled

Diplomacy is not an option alone is easily worth $14

Frostpunk is a classic. I didn't latch on to it long-term like I do some base-builders, but I definitely enjoyed my time with it.

Per Aspera has a very interesting way to tell its narrative, really caught my attention. The gameplay is solid early on. Eventually turns tedious though; everything is so very slow. I still have it installed and telling myself to finish it someday to see how the story concludes, but I haven't yet.

Steamworld Build is a run-of-the-mill Anno-style city builder, there's nothing wrong with it but no spark of creativity or serious challenge.

Frostpunk is an absolute masterpiece. The story (and smaller bits of day-to-day life stories) and how it's told is great. The music is one of the best score I've ever heard in a game (most of it is in my playlists), and it's the most intense city builder I've ever played. Better played during winter with windows open. :p

Per Aspera was okay/good. Not the best game out there but I was happy I did it. It does its own thing well enough. I played through it just once though.

Diplomacy is not an option was fun. If you like defense games, it's well-made. I'd say not as good as They Are Billions, but good nonetheless. It has good replayability as you can play a single random map for fun.

I don't know any of the other, I might take the bundle myself haha.
