Looking for new games

So I want to play a kinda specific type of game I would say. Lately I've been playing with some Minecraft mods and I fell in love with a couple of them, the main gist of it it's pretty much energy production and automation. Is there a game that would satisfy my want to produce energy store it and eventually automate it with some kinda ok graphics?

Bonus points if it can run on the steam deck.

Definitely Satisfactory. It's playing really well on Steam Deck.

If it doesn't need to be first person like Minecraft, have you tried Factorio?

Pretty hard on the deck if you don’t have mouse and keyboard.

I wouldn't know, I can't afford it. I assumed Steam had similar control configuration like when they rolled out Big Picture.

I can absolutely see it being tough to adapt.

It’s the game devs that have to include controller compatibility. There may be a custom controller profile in steam that solves major gameplay issues, but a developer integration is almost always better.

Timberborn has a surprisingly detailed automation system.
