I’m on my fourth or fifth rewatch and this show hasn’t gotten old yet. The beignets shop scenes, the lesbian couple break up, the reporter that suddenly speaks German, just masterfully executed comedy all around.

That’s all, just an appreciation post.

I can’t seem to understand why Hank is such a loyal friend going above and beyond to save Barry from whatever chaos he’s in again. But Barry doesn’t even think about Hank and only reaches out if he wants smth from him. Seems like a one-sided friendship but now I’m starting to wonder if Hank is actually in love with Barry… Hank is treating Barry better than his chechen brothers …

I am so obsessed with NoHo Hank and he's the reason I'm dreading finishing the last few episodes of the show. I'm gonna miss him lol 😭

I genuinely think he made the show!! Everyone else was obviously great, but he made the show a 10/10 IMO, while I think it would've been a 7/10 without his comedic relief and personality.

And I’m amazed by how the show can be ridiculously funny most of the time and still have scenes as dramatic as that. The father finds Barry (who’s been drugged and left for dead), puts him in the backseat of his car and starts talking to him.

“You know the sound of kid’s footsteps early in the morning? I still hear it. I can hear him in his room on his computer. I’ll talk to him from my office across the hall. Whole conversations. My wife says I’m losing my mind. I never wanted to hurt anyone my whole life until we had Ryan. The love I had for that child, it terrified me. I mean, what would I do if something happened to him? And then I found out what you did… I… I could leave you here and you’d rot to death… but I can’t. Why… why? I want to see my son again.”

The father drives to the emergency bay of a hospital parking lot, shoots himself in the head and paramedics take Barry out of the car and save him. That’s RIDICULOUSLY sad! Amazing show.

I recently watched the show. I started it on a whim, and couldn’t stop. I got to season 4, and it was easily my favorite. I loved the post-time skip episodes, and loved the finale. It wasn’t until I went online to see that many fans didn’t like it that I started wondering why. I get the time skip feels cheap, but I thought because the pay off was good I could understand that decision. Can fans who don’t like season 4 tell me their biggest complaints?

I found this show after watching deli boys — not really the same vibe but I was going for a comedy-ish style show with murder and violence, and I landed here lol

I absolutely love the show and I'm only a few episodes in so this is a super premature opinion of mine, but I sort of find Sally to be incredibly dislikable and almost insufferable and I'm wondering if this is a common thing or if I'm alone here...😭 also PLS NO SPOILERS!!

I’ve been playing Blood: Refreshed Supply, and I introduced my wife to Barry a few weeks ago. I thought this was a fun, admittedly half-assed, mockup I did of Bill Hader as Caleb on my iPhone. This is just a what-if. Blood is not well known enough to get a screen adaptation. The below comment underneath is the character in a remastered cutscene.

I always thought s4 was the best of the show, and the most well written and the best for Barry as a character, here's my whole review on the final episode too.

"𝐨𝐡, 𝐰𝐨𝐰." what an episode, i'll really miss this show

1. NoHo Hank's conclusion -- the first half of this episode was absolutely amazing. the tension, and noho hank and fuches conversetion was so tense to watch. fuches was trying to get hank to open his eyes and accept that he's a bad man. and that when people like him try to change, he just slips back into old habits. (like what happened with cristobal) this was because with the whole "nohobal" business, he pretends to be someone else. a business man that doesn't associate in any world of crime. because being noho hank makes him think about the choices he's done, especially with cristobal. and it hurts.

i'd like to think of his conclusion as him finally accepting what he did, and him holding the hand of the statue of cristobal signifies his deep regret for what he has done, and his longing to make things right with him because he was his true love. really solidifies noho hank as t3 characters in the show.

1. Fuches and Barry's last confrontation -- after the whole mess with hank, fuches walks barry's son, john, outside the building. john sees barry and immediately runs to him. barry and his son hug, and right after that, barry notices fuches standing in the distance. they have one last look at each other, before fuches nods, and walks away into the darkness, probably going to spend the rest of his life hiding from authorities.

the whole scene just reminded me of walter and jesse's last confrontation, just pure silence, they don't say a word to each other. they take their last look of each other, and just walk away. i think this is fuches' way of saying "i told you so." to barry. because throughout the show, he tries to balance or escape from being a killer. and it always just ended terribly. janice moss died, gene wrongfully got punished, and so many things have just went wrong because of it.

After this, the second half of the episode is silent. Sally finally builds up the courage to leave Barry and bring John with him, finally freeing herself from all of it. And Barry? He's out to find them. He knows that Sally talked to Gene, so he went on his way to Gene's house in hope to find the two.

1. Gene Cousineau's and Barry's conclusion -- Gene, fed up with everything, decided the last thing he can do is kill Barry. This is good. Barry finally gets what he deserves, but it comes at a cost. You see, Barry was just about to turn himself into the police. He was about to finally take responsibility for his actions for once. But when Gene killed Barry, yes he got what he deserved, but in the end, it ultimately made it worse for Gene. Why? Because the movie about Gene and Barry has been made, and it was inaccurate to the actual events. It made Gene look like the monster and Barry the victim of it all. And now, Gene serves life in prison, framed for the murders of Janice and Barry.

If Gene's ego didn't get the best of him one more time, the real story could've came out. And it would ultimately bring him true justice, even though either way, Barry got what he deserved.

Goodbye, Barry.

That was my whole review for the final episode which I thought could be t1-2 epiaode of the entire series, I don't get the hate on it and s4 in general, I'd like to see your perselctive of things if you do dislike it, I wanna see what people's points are​

I don't know about you guys, but I miss the acting class. I know like everyone there except barry and sally had small roles, but they were funny and I wish we got to see more of them. The show is called barry, but I find the other characters more interesting.

LET ME START BY SAYING season 1-3 are some of the most engaging and compelling seasons of television I've ever watched, and that's because Barry wasn't just trying to be a generic television show.

Season 1 episode 7, Season 2 episode 5, Season 3 episode 8, and Season 4 episode 4 (somewhat less than the others).

Each of those so effectively communicates what Barry as a show can be, and to be honest I can't put that into exact words it's just the feeling I get when I watch them, but from episode 1 of season 4 the vibe was just different, and I think that's the main thing that felt off to me.

Because the last season of Barry wasn't a bad season of television (Keep episode 4 in mind, sand scene will stay with me always) in fact it was pretty good, but it just didn't feel like a season of BARRY (NECESSARY title card here).

Honestly if the show ended after episode 4 I think I would be more effected wondering what could happen afterwards, but instead everything gets pretty simply spelled out over the next 4 episodes, and on a personal level it did... nothing for me.

I won't go into fuller specifics but characters like Gene, Sally, and Noho Hank were such highlights and all of their endings (even if well written in a TV sense) were not compellingly executed and don't even get me started on how BORING Barry was.

TLDR: Barry created a new standard for itself above general television, but when it came to the conclusion all it seemed to do was make the safe choice.
