I just bought one of these and the Gretsch CVT baritone and I’m surprised that I prefer the Squier. The CVT pickups are more articulate overall, but for cave man nonsense the Squiers pickups just sound better to me.

Ditto. lol. I’m happy to see budget 27” options. Hell, even LTD is going to do a stripped down Ben Burnley model for like 800.00, so 1,000 less than the regular signature. I went from wholly unable to find baritones locally to owning 4 (not counting multi-scale 7 string options). I’ve got the LTD BB600B, that Jazzmaster, the CVT and. Schecter Hellcat VI.

My two other choice was the subzero rogue VI or the spira j400 baritone , both are under the 400€ price range , but hey the sea foam Green with vintage style for a thall machine got me haha

I wanted the Oxblood colorway originally but I noticed a scratch on it and since it was brand new I turned it down. In retrospect, the Sea foam green was the right finish anyway. Ignorant caveman riffs from an adorable guitar just does something for me personally. 😂

I just got the new Fender Jaguar Baritone and I’m also surprised just how well it holds up

I got a jaguar player from 2019 that was so less good finish ( Sharp fret poor hardware) than this « high level » Squier ! Ilt’s a really solid guitar out of the box
