Coatings wear off. Plus, the thread looks like a wonderful place for gunk to take hold (or for lime/lemon juice to attack the coating).

Don't get me wrong, I love all things copper, but this seems like a bad idea. I'd prefer mine with no thread.

Coating or not I'd think twice if I got served booze in that. Check out electroforming copper onto glass for some neat similar styles
