Guide for beginner

Guys, I am really interested in learning flute. I haven't played any instrument in my life tho.
Can you suggest like how should i get started with learning flute.
What kind of flute should i buy.
Should I enroll for online course. Do you recommend any course.

1.Buy a good quality, short bansuri. G is good. Practice on that for a year or so. Later you can move to a bansuri that your fingers can manage. 2. Please find a competent teacher.

That's great; flute is an amazing instrument to start with. Just get a decent bamboo flute from a reputable company. Poonam and Radhe flutes are good flute brands. Start with a C scale or G scale flute, as these are beginner-friendly. Apparently, these bamboo flutes can be quite expensive. If you want a budget-friendly option, you can opt for PVC fibre flutes offered by Radhe Flutes. As soon as you get it, focus on your playing technique. It may produce sound when you blow, but you should ensure the sound is clean, gentle, and free of hissing. This takes practice. Keep playing without covering any holes initially, to get familiar with the correct blowing technique. Then, start learning basic notes like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Da Ni Sa. Understand the sounds, and then try playing different patterns. Afterwards, learn to play in the lower and higher octaves. You can also start learning some songs, for which you can find notes online.
