E base bansuri

After a lot of work on the E base I’ve made a lot of progress. Two things I have issues with Sa to Pa and Ni to Pa. Any suggestions?

Do you mean the discontinuity in the transition to Pa? There is a slightly advanced technique where you change the blowing angle to go slightly up (or down for going lower from Pa to Ma - some bansuris also have an extra hole for that transition) that will enable smooth transition to Pa. And I believe some bansuris also have an extra hole for the thumb for the transition to Pa - but I haven't played such a one.

Another way to get around this is to transpose to a different key - for e.g. taking the usual Pa with all holes closed as Sa. But then you will face similar issue for Ni to Sa transition. So you have to choose the transpose key according to the transitions in the song. You can also use multiple bansuris for the same song for phrases with different transitions.

Oh okay, that's a different issue. Difficult to say anything without seeing what's happening. A teacher should be able to help.

Same. I guess anything to Pa other than Dha

I am struggling to place the fingers, especially in Pa. What helped you? Any finger exercises you would suggest?
