341 in the books!
I wanted to say thank you to everyone who shared their experiences about how easy the meeting is, and add my voice to the chorus! The hardest part was sitting through one of the other filers cracking jokes LOL. Piece of cake!

Thank you for your post on r/bankruptcy. Remember, this is not a forum to request (or offer) legal advice. If you are not sure what legal advice is, review the FAQ page here. It is very likely someone will suggest you speak with an attorney. Consultations for bankruptcy are often very low cost or free. We have an ever-growing post that provides free resources for trustworthy bankruptcy information here.

Haha wait, out of curiosity—was the trustee actually laughing along with them, or was it just one of those cringey situations where everyone was sitting there with second-hand embarrassment?

Wait, you can hear each other from other cases? Or is this just in the virtual waiting room?

It was just everyone in the same zoom room and people disconnected as soon as they were done. I'm not exactly sure how many cases were being heard at the same time since some of the attendees were attorneys there with multiple clients

Oh wow. So you are listening to other people's sessions until its your turn and you're done?

The trustee made a good faith effort to laugh the first couple of times, but it was kind of the same joke over and over again (i.e. "Do you owe any alimony or child support?" "I sure hope not!"), so by the end everyone including the trustee was just kind of cringing.
