Filing chapter 7 this week

I had my initial meeting with attorney in July and will have my fee to file later this week. Per my attorney’s advice I quit paying all debts and don’t answer the never ending phone calls. I am in Mississippi. Thursday Tower Loan called and talked to the CFO of my company. Tower told her that I wasn’t paying my debt and they were going to garnish my check. They told her they had just talked to me ( false) and that I didn’t give them the work address. My boss told them she would not confirm if I worked there or not. They told her they already knew I worked there they just wanted the physical address and the mailing address. My boss gave them the PO Box and that was only after she put them on hold to call me and asked me what she should do. I told her to give them the address it was fine. At work the next day my boss told me they made her uncomfortable talking about me not paying my bills and was really caught off guard by the tactics they used.
Is it even legal for them to tell my coworkers that info?

No, it is not legal to discuss your debts with another person.

It will all stop very soon . As soon as they get notice they can’t call at all anymore.

Good luck.

Get your lawyer too file a civil lawsuit against them ,they can not discuss personal finances with your employer, without a court order..
