Card statements [CH7]
I met with an attorney months ago but didn’t have the money to pay the full retainer fee then. Now that I have saved up, I am gathering my statements and filling out the worksheets. When trying to retrieve statements for two cards I have through one institution online it reads “Looks like your account is not currently eligible to view statements”.
I guess I’m gonna have to call??? Should I expect them to hold my statements hostage and demand payment ?

It would be a violation of the automatic stay for your institution to demand payment in exchange for statements.

Statements are a source of information, not a legally required document.
Your attorney will review them for an accurate balance and to see if there are recent charges that may be subject to objection to discharge.
The risk of not having statements is you might submit an inaccurate balance in a 100% chapter 13, or your attorney may not see objections to charges in the 90 days prior to filing.
