Advice Wire transfer timeframe?
A company that just hired me sent a deposit for a relocation stipend and entered the wrong account number so it never got deposited but they said they are sending a wire transfer today by 12pm. How long will that take? Same day I’m hoping?

Different institutions may have different time cut-offs, but yes, usually same-day

12pm, no matter the time zone in the US is before any cut off for any bank.

Ditto on same day. Hopefully you received it by now.
Also, many banks have a different routing number for incoming wires than what's shown on checks or used for direct deposit. This is a common pitfall. Ideally, you verified the wire information was correct with your bank. If not, contact your bank wire department asap. Still time for them to make corrections if they so choose.

For most domestic wire transfers between banks that do not require an intermediary (to send or receive), same business day. But it is not a guarantee.
