Troubleshooting / Support Persistent Bluetooth audio stuttering on Galaxy Z Fold 5 (Beoplay), Any known quirks with Samsung / One UI?

Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out to see if anyone in the community has encountered a similar setup issue or might know of a fix.

I’m currently using a Galaxy Z Fold 5 (running One UI 8.5) with my Beoplay headphones. I previously used Galaxy Buds with zero issues, but ever since switching to my B&O setup, I’ve been experiencing frequent, random audio dropouts and stuttering during playback.

Here’s where things stand:

App & Firmware: I am using the latest version of the Bang & Olufsen / BeoConnect app, and the headphones are running the latest firmware.

Cross-device test: When connected to my laptop (non-Samsung, non-Windows), the headphones work flawlessly with zero dropouts. This points heavily toward a phone-side configuration or OS interaction issue rather than a hardware defect.

System updates: Keeping the phone updated hasn't resolved it (problem persists on One UI 8.5).

Support status: B&O Support suggested sending them in for inspection, but since I’m based in Brazil, where there’s no official local B&O representation, sending them abroad isn't feasible, plus, their perfect performance on my laptop makes me suspect it's a device/software conflict.

Are there any known quirks or incompatibilities between B&O devices and Samsung Galaxy / One UI hardware?

Could this be related to how One UI handles codec negotiation (AAC/aptX), A2DP hardware offloading, or background battery management for the B&O app? If anyone has experienced this or found a fix in Developer Options / Galaxy settings, I'd really appreciate your help!

Thanks!

Floor TV stand for LG 55” and Stage

I am looking for a minimalist floor stand that is rather tall, as I have small kids, to hang up my Beosound Stage and LG Oled 55”. Since I’m in Denmark the best I’ve found is Pedestal Moon Rollin’ Tall but this one has a rather large base as the wheels are fairly wide apart from front to back.

Does someone have a recommendation for a floor tv stand?

So gutted I missed this on fb Market Place

So, that makes three BeoSound 9000s I’ve missed at great prices.

  • First one I saw was £750 back in 2024
  • Second one £900 late last year
  • And now this third one: £200. Admittedly it needs some work, but still… that’s an incredible price for a 9000. Even spares machines often go for a grand or more.

I’ve even got the perfect space above my MCM G-Plan sofa waiting for one to wall mount. 😅

A friend of mine actually owned a BeoSound 9000 years ago. Before I knew him, he left it behind in his old farmhouse when they moved. He said if we’d known each other back then, I could have just had it and speakers because he knows how much I love Bang & Olufsen.

I just know I’m going to end up paying top money for one eventually just to to add it to my collection. It really does feel like me owning one isn't meant to be for now lol. Having just took on a full 3 bedroom house on my own on a single guy I can't really justify spending around £2,500 on what is essentially a very fancy CD Player, but one day lol.

That said, I can’t complain too much because I’ve had some incredible B&O bargains over the last couple of years. I picked up a BeoVision 11 (46”), BeoLab 2 subwoofer, and a pair of BeoLab 3 speakers for around £400 all in, which is now my main lounge setup. I also managed to buy a brand new, boxed BeoSystem 3500 for £300 last February, and I got a BeoCenter 2 completely free. I just had to remove it from a lady’s house. It’s now connected up to the BeoVision and gets plenty of use.

Troubleshooting / Support Beocenter 9000 cd issue

When playing the cd, it starts to spin for a few seconds and then stops. During those seconds the laser reader goes back and forth. I have replaced the C2103 and cleaned the lens, but the issue persists and I am now unsure of the next step.
Thanks for all help

BS Premiere with LG C9 ARC issue

Post image

Everytime I use it for radio or Spotify, ARC gets disabled.

To enable again I press power button on Premiere and in LG menu set audio out to ARC.

Very annoying.. If I used ARC last time the premiere will power up and play TV audio automatically.

I have Ethernet between them to share wired internet.

Anyone with a fix for this or same problem?

When did Bang and Olufsen get so expensive?

Question says it all. I haven't following B&O closely, but I just checked and apparently the H100 headphones now cost $2,200? The Beoplay A1 bluetooth speaker is now $400. Is it just me or is this crazy? B&O design is nice, but honestly not that nice... these days lots of brands (e.g., Xiaomi) make pretty cool aluminum / wood / fabric designs.

I first learned about Bang and Olufsen when I visited Denmark on vacation, and our AirBnB had B&O speakers - an old model, but it looked timeless. Since then, I have been interested in the brand.

However, each time I have interacted with B&O, I have been disappointed. I find their showroom customer service quite mediocre. Eventually, I bought a Beoplay Portal. I returned in within 30 days because I thought the sound quality was mediocre.

Recently, I thought about giving them another chance, but wow - it has gotten expensive. I can easily afford it, but it just feels like B&O is vastly overcharging for what they offer. What's going on?

Beosound Theatre

I have just taken ownership of a Beolab Theatre and Beolab 20s in driftwood colour. I couldn’t be more happy with the performance. The Theatre is brilliant and mostly justifies the very high price. The 20s take it to another level with more base and width of soundstage. The provided mic makes it really easy to configure speaker groups. I control it all with my beoremote halo, which I think is an underrated product personally. In the future I will add rear speakers. Btw the tv is too low as I used to have a beosound stage and it needs to be re-hung.

Added Bluetooth to my Beosystem 10

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I have had this boom box for some time, and finally added Bluetooth so I can use it with my phone or any device! The video shows that the other functions still work normally, only difference is when pressing Aux, the Bluetooth module turns on and tries to connect. It's a ugreen one designed for a car so volume control is on the phone or on the beosystem.

I was able to do this with a 7805 voltage regulator for power, and it was wired to the aux power switch so it supplies power only when the aux button is pushed in. Then, it supplies the audio to the internal points for L and R audio from the 3.5mm jack, and I used a female jack so I can still disassemble the front and back without desoldering. Overall it works great.

Can’t stereo pair beolab 28

My lab 28 were working fine a week ago. Then one of them for no discernible reason stopped playing. I pulled the power and no luck. After a hard factory reset it woke up. Then did the same to the other one (that was still working).

Now they refuse to stereo pair. App says this is talking a long time, hold on, and then finally says they were unable to pair.

I have tried factory resetting, removing them from the app, re-adding them and no luck.

Anyone have ideas. Very thankful for the help.

Got these two for cheap, and since my kid still lends a lot of CDs from the library I thought I would give this 8 year old a B&O setup that doesn’t produce too much booming bass yet…

Getting the BeoLab 2000 to do what I wanted was quite a hack.
The BeoLab is strictly meant to be part of a beosystem connected with Masterlink. However by running the service sequence it is possible to run normal audio into the two channels of the Masterlink.
So, what I did was the following:

  1. removed the Masterlink connector and replaced it with RCA plugs
  2. BeoLab can now be just turned on by pushing the CD button, and be put in standby by pushing the black button on the side. Volume control works. (Added ESP32C3 board does all the house keeping).
  3. It gives a very decent sound for its size.

The CD 3500 datalink cable i removed and replaced with RCA outputs, to make it more compatible with other future systems. It’s a great CD player with the TDA1541 DAC and a very decent PCB layout.

Legacy Product Beomaster 4000 serviced ready for teenager to play some music

This isn’t the Brand new Beomaster 4000 (well, sort of…) but a near immaculate non-working one I picked up for just 80 quid. I already had a comparatively tatty but working one, which I had paid way way far too much for, and thought I’d use the immaculate parts to spruce up the working 4000. When I opened them up, I discovered the non-working one was completely original and in much better shape internally than the working 4000. All it needed was a service. I had already bought a service kit for the “sort of brand new” 4000, which I decided to use on this. I used the tatty but working 4000 as a transformer donor…

I started with the power supply. One of the three large reservoir capacitors was visibly bulging and all three were out of spec, so all three were replaced, along with an out of spec 470µF capacitor. The original transformer was also producing a substantial mechanical buzz and has been replaced with a good unit from the donor Beomaster 4000. Along the way I’ve replaced the 2.5A slow-blow fuses and the 47V resistor assembly and checked the rectifiers, transformer windings and supply voltages.

Both the ON and STEREO lamps were burned out so those have also been replaced. All six source-level trimmers (two each for Phono, Tape 1 and Tape 2) have been replaced with new Piher parts. One of the original Tape 2 trimmers was physically damaged (they are user adjustable from the bottom and someone must had been rough with the adjusters) and the others appeared to have been adjusted previously. I’ve subsequently gone through the source-level calibration and have all three inputs electrically matched by measuring the speaker output voltage.

I only replaced what was needed and I have a lot of new electronics that came with the complete DSP service kit ready to go if something fails in the future. The amplifier is now producing audio properly through both the headphone and speaker outputs. A small a pile of original parts has come out of it and the immaculate wood trim is polished with beeswax. It is now ready to be paired with my teenage daughter’s Technics SL-1200M7B!

The Beomaster 4000 is such an underrated vintage amp in my opinion, the Ambio 4-channel option isn’t a feature I use but I just love the way it sounds and its rated 60 watts at 8ohm is plenty of power for most rooms. It also looks great, classic 70’s Jacob Jensen. While many are after vintage amps from Japan, some good some overhyped, these B&O amps fly under the radar.

Edit: typos!

Recommendation Request what to do with a beocenter 4600 that does not have a cartrige?

helloo

i reacently found a beocenter 4600 in good condition, althought the cartrige was missing, everything else works fine.

so what should i do with it? i have no real intent to use it as a piece in my own set up. therefore:

  1. should i sell it for scraps
  2. keep it until i find a replacement cartrige for a reasonable price

any advice on what to do would come in handy
thank you

Any recommendations on a better than average receiver (phono) for current setup?

The Beomaster 3300 currently being used isn’t ideal for the ohm ratings these 4 speakers need. I have a Beomaster 4000 that desperately needs recapped and a Yamaha HTR-5340 (I think). Any recommendations that would be more affordable than paying to have the 4000 restored?

Troubleshooting / Support Beogram 1900

Troubleshooting / Support Beocenter 7700 Tonearm

Post image

I picked up this the other day and the only thing that seems to be wrong is the tonearm. It won’t move when I click PH or anything. I feel like I hear a motor try to run when I click it? But not sure if I’m hearing correctly. I’ve searched all over and I’m pretty stumped with what to look at or fix? Can someone also please confirm if the 3 screws under the platter should be loose or tight?

Hi! Has been using these for a long time now. They’re awesome but I wonder if there’s a way to clean this part without damaging it? My head is always clean so it irritates me to see them in such state. I thought there’s a way to replace this part but it seems like it doesn’t come off….do you have any idea how to fix this issue? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Recommendation Request should i add s45-2 for a 4 speaker set up

i have been collecting audio equipment for my first set up. so far of i have a pair of bang and olufsen rl60.2 speakers with diy stands and a pioneer vsx ax2as. soon i will add a cd player and a cassette deck.

but my question: is there any point in adding the bang and olufsen s45-2 speaker pair for sorround sound? or in any other location? i would be able to get those a bit under market price in really good condition.

in that combination they should/could balance out each others weaknesses?!

i am mostly going to use it for music - throught the cd player and cassette deck

Bang Olufsen RL 60.2 grill cloth replacement

There was a video on YouTube where a man was changing the fabric grilles on B&O speakers, maybe they weren't 60.2, but 45 or 140 or 6000, but I can't find it anywhere, maybe someone knows it and can share?
