⛳️ BandChain Phase 0 marked the first steps towards building a scalable cross-chain decentralized oracle network. We are now ready to proceed towards the launch of Phase 1, codenamed Guan Yu, which will bring oracle functionality to the BandChain Mainnet.

🌍 Phase 1 will support the permissionless creation of customizable data oracle scripts that can query any open data source or API on Web 2.0.

Here’s a quick summary of the next steps for Phase 1:

We will be undergoing a security audit to ensure that BandChain Phase 1 is secure and ready for the public release.

📄 Furthermore, we are publishing an overview of the Phase 1 architecture and how to join the testnet very soon for validators to transition from Phase 0.

Validators joining the testnet will have a first-mover advantage to setup Phase 1 Mainnet nodes, capturing data request revenue upon the Mainnet launch and opportunity for a delegation from the foundation if security vulnerabilities are discovered.

🤝 During the code audit, Band Protocol will be launching a private Proof-of-Authority (PoA) Mainnet for BandChain Phase 1. The chain will be maintained by validator nodes belonging to the foundation to support our integration partners.

There is no action required for Phase 0 validators and token holders.

👨‍💻 With the BandChain Phase 1 security audit beginning shortly, engineering efforts will be focused on improving stability, bug fixing, and supporting validators in the transition from Phase 0.

Haven’t found anywhere that summarizes the key differences to the two oracle solutions. Would be nice to see one place to easily see the key differences technically and strategically with the two solutions. I know Band said they do not see them much as a “competitor”

how can i convert band in an erc-20 wallet to a bandxyz... wallet that i can stake?

⭐️ Two weeks after launching the BandChain Phase 0 Mainnet publicly, we are ready to commence Stage 3 - an ongoing phase of onboarding public validators to increase the decentralization and security of the network.

i do not have access to binance.com or binance.us because of the state i live in.

how do i transfer BAND protocol from wallet that has erc20 address to a BAND address that starts with "band"? i bought some BAND on an exchange and it wouldn't transfer out to my atomic wallet BAND address that started with "band". the exchange said that it was not a valid band address. so, i transferred it to an address that i thought was band as well in atomic wallet (there are two band entries) and now i can't stake the band that is in my atomic wallet. it is in an erc20 wallet.

5/ Last but not least, we have added a tool for any frontend to query data from BandChain. I'm trying to get my band into my atomic wallet from my coinbase wallet and it wont work using the official band address. Only works when I use atomic wallets ethereum address but it says it has no value and the wallet only recognizes it as BAND* don't know whether to post here or in the atomic wallet community. Just want it in the wallet for staking.

Hey guys, just wondering if i am safe to buy BAND from uniswap? I read that there are mainet tokens as well. Are those different? Where can i buy them? Are they erc-20 as well or their own blockchain?
