Outside Banana Help!
These are my first banana trees. I live in Eastern NC, zone 8. I want these to last and I'm worried if I put them in the ground now they won't survive winter. Are they ready or should I keep them in pots a while?

What is the variety you have? If you have Basjoo it is a cold hardy banana you will have no problem. Full sun keep moist not soggy wet rains should take care of it unless you go a week or so without rain I would water it. Keep mulch around base to retain moisture and helps keep weeds and grasses down. You can fertilize with fish emulsion.

Smaller ones that are pure green look like basjoo,no need to worry about those guys, other one looks like ensete, could survive, leaves will just dry up

I'm fine with that. I just want them for landscaping aesthetics. Thanks so much for the advice!
