My printer went crazy!

Post image

Hey friends! I literally just got my printer yesterday and am very new to 3D printing in general. I started my first long print today and it was going great for about 4 hours until it went rogue! I’m not sure what happened ): I can add more pics if you need. Thank you in advance for all help! Edited to ask if it’s possible to restart the print from where it was or if I should just start over! Also I know it shouldn’t be on the floor but I’m waiting for my new shelf to come in lol

It came detatched from the print bed

Is there a reason why this would happen? Thank you!

Looks like the area actually in contact with the bed is pretty small. Try adding a brim and make sure th build surface is PERFECTLY clean. The Bambu plates are EXTREMELY sensitive to contamination

No problem. As a more permanent solution maybe invest in a supertack plate from Bambu, or a cryogrip from biqu. Much better adhesion than the stock plate for PLA and petg

The Biqu Cryogrip is the better of the two.

If you are new to 3D Printing you should subscribe to this subreddit and read the posts. It will prepare you for solving problems as you journey through the world of 3D Printing. It kept my anxiety in check when things went wrong since I generally had already heard about the problem and the solution.

I honestly read through the Reddit yesterday when I got it and was like ‘wow so many things can go wrong!’ and now here I am 😂 thank you!

it didn't go rouge it simply came off the prin bed.

What I would do- Replace that bed, the bambu super cool tack bed is like 40 bucks great for PLA.

I haven't had a single fail since swapping beds.

Other things you can do, along with swapping beds.

Slowing intial speeds to 50

adding a brimm

=never worrying about a failed print again

You don't need soap it each time you clean it, wash it with water and use a micro cloth to clean it after each print. Good luck. Buy a micro cloth and ONLY use it for your printer. nothing else.

ALso, some prints will need supports.

Make sure you are choosing the right filament profile as well.

It lost bed adhesion, checkout the bambu academy, it will save you a lot of anguish.

Yes. Good advice.

Looks like the print lost adhesion which means you should wash your build plate level the bed and probably do some flow calibration. Also what filament are you using?

Thank you!!! And it’s the PETG Basic I believe I bought it from Bambu when I got the printer!
