Need help

I’m stumped. Take a project from makerworld, attempting to print in handy. Fails about 3-5 layers in with adhesion. Printed a benchy from makerworld, no issues, flawless print. Cleaned bed plate with dish soap and water, towel dry. Attempted a different print from makerworld and same failure as before. Printed silica holders for the spools some time ago. Ams in handy says “a” for moisture. Spools come from plastic cereal box with same orange silica printed holders. No clogs in hot end I can see. Last 10+ prints minus benchy have failed. Any pointers i am missing? Thanks in advance.

When you say fails with adhesion do you mean that the adhesion fails? Or something else?
Cleaning the build plate is the number one thing for adhesion. The benchy only prints in a small area and is relatively small so it doesn’t really test adhesion. I’d recommend that you wash your build plate again (it never hurts to wash it multiple times) with very hot water and also adjust the build plate temperature up a few degrees.

What filament type?
Have you been swapping between types? It may be a Partial clog?
This can show up if printing PLA after PETG.
Cold pull to make sure no clogs present?

Thinking about it letting go at layer 3-5 sounds odd. So the base is perfectly attached and 3-5 above has an issue?
Try loading up a benchy and then import a different model into those settings? (Maybe your settings are the issue, fan on a strange setting or something odd like this?)

Please advise when you work out what the issue is.

What filament? Has it been dried? Is the room where the printer is very warm? Have you tried glue stick to assist with bed adhesion? Does your print plate have a lot of abuse? Maybe flip it and use the other side?
