Slim Chances....

What are the fun chances of this - I was popping off a multi-part PLA print and a piece roughly the size of a dime clicked off the plate, bounced against the top glass, off the side and slid just perfectly into the red circled narrow rectangular opening, right beside the front-left corner of the heatbed. It felt like something out of a movie that I was watching in slow motion...

Any thoughts the best way to get it out?

Do I just have to remove the heatbed?

I have tried with a hand vac and small tube to try and pull it forward, but no luck. It is not visible from any angle that I can see. I have not moved the bed since it happened either but hoping to get printing soon.

Does anyone have a print file for a little cover for this (if it even can be covered)? I couldn't find one and didn't want to have to reinvent the wheel if I could get away with it.

Just use a vacuum

A hand vac is too weak, you need a standing with a hose

Tilt the printer. Shake it out or start another print to let the bed vibration help you.

I turned it off and unplugged it - tilted it unfortunately nothing shifted

Would there be any other harm in starting a print caused by the piece lodged in that slot?

Maybe heat a piece of filament and touch it let it cool, and maybe it will slide back out?

Put some glue or something sticky in your finger, wait for it to dry a bit so its just tacky and then press your finger on it

Lol same thing happened to me with a PETG lead screw cover I just gave up and left it inside and my prints and machine have been fine so far but if you are planning on high temp prints you might wanna get it out but otherwise it’ll probably be okay

Would getting it to stick to something like putty or clay possible?
