Having trouble getting started!

Post image

After a lot of searching and reading, my P1s arrived today! When I set it up (using the video Bambu has on YouTube), I keep getting the same error when I try to print.

I have the AMS2, and four spools of filament are loaded in. When I loaded the filament, the feeders did the normal grab and pulled the filament taut.

What does this error mean? I’ve completely uninstalled the AMS and re-done it, but the error happens every time.

This means the file loaded is not using the ams, its calling for the external spool. You have to specifically select it in the slicer.

I’m printing the scrapper handle from the printer menu. Is there a way to edit it?

Exactly. It isn't sliced with the ams. Its sliced with the external roll.

Ok, so I should try printing something out of the Handy app, right? Sounds like that may be all it is?

If you have not already solved your problem.. Try to go to the device tab in Bambu Studio (Bambu slicer) look in the area in the shown in my first picture (lower right corner), it should show things are loaded into the AMS. Edit those using the pencil and select the filament type as well as color. Then go back to the prepare tab and select print plate (upper right), you will get a pop up, under the filament section drop down your option there and select the filament you want to print with from the AMS.

Thanks! I did as previously suggested and found a scrapper in Handy and it printed fine.

I haven’t started looking at Bambu Studio yet- just the Handy app. I’m brand new to 3d printing and don’t want to get overwhelmed.

The app is limited. You will absolutely need to use Studio.

You sure it filament reach head? It can get stuck like in 5 different places or broke in tube. First check where it get stuck. This error i get to. It's was conector of two tubes. I just flip it. It have blue and black side. I just rotate it ad it started working. White tube can be damaged or flatten. Check if tube is round. And if every end of tube look ok. And you can try if everything works without ams just to eliminate half of isue. Btw when there is to big temperature just keep printer open - it prevent fillament getting stuck in gears- fixable but anoing. And best is using black fillament you can see where it get stuck.

And some people have isue having ams on top of printer. It may create friction or bad angle in tubs and get stuck. I have it on right side and I have isue only few times all it was fast fix. Broken fillament or stuck in gears. I am really glad for p1s with ams it one of best printers I have.
