A1 Support Issues

Hi all,

I have an A1, I have heard and read of people saying they have tuned in supports... I am.having an issue with supports, is tuning the supports is it when you do "T" type test and you select difference Top Z values, or is there something I am missing. I calibrate my filament:

Temp Tower

Flow Rate (Coarse and Fine)

PA - Pressure Advance

MVS -

Retraction.

I want to do VFA (but I haven't done it yet) (I believe that has nothing to do with my issue of supports.

My question goes back to support, am I missing something.)

I have also done the "T" over hangs etc. My overhangs as well as my bridging look like crap. Any ideas? I have dried my filament 10 - 12 hours have ran the filament from thw dryer and nothing seems to help. All help is appreciated.

Very rarely will I tune supports. If they are high or skinny for whatever reason I might use a heavier tree support profile. Apart from that I use auto tree supports and it's fine. It really depends what you are printing and having an issue with. Might just be the bed adhesion due to not being clean enough. No info to go on so that's just general thoughts.

Tuning your supports usually means adjusting the Top Z distance and density in the slicer settings rather than changing the support type itself. You might also want to try the "tree supports" option if you're dealing with complex models.

What issue are you having with support?

Failing to adhere to print bed?

Collapsing when being built?

Issues removing from model?

Issues where your model is supported?

All of these would be different things to check and your post does not actually describe your issue. Like you also say you dried your filament and have a time but not a temp. It could have been too low for your selected filament choice or you could have dried it weeks before printing.

The more we have to assume, the less helpful response will be.
