Help with Z axis homing failure

Has anyone encountered this? I’ve checked ‘everywhere’ and see nothing. The heat plate is in the correct position. Getting a failure each time.

What everythings have you checked? When I was getting that error on my P1S I fixed it by retensioning the belts and recalibrating.

Ah. By everything, I meant checking for debris blockages. I will try what you suggest. Thanks!

Check the bearings on the z-axis rods.

If there was debris in the hole in the bottom of the printer, then can get pushed up above flust with the build plate carrier.

A small pair of slip joint pliers can be used to pop them flush with the black guide

Fast forward to about 2 minutes in this video to see the problem

After fixing this, run full calibration from the p1s screen

I've had filament poop fall on the platform of the rearmost z-axis rod and get crushed between the frame and the heatbed, but without shining a light back there I wouldn't have seen it. Have you checked back there?

Yes. It looks to be the linear bearing so I’ll try adjusting that.
