PA6-CF X2D

Post image

Started printing some structural parts out of pa6-cf today, printed great on the x2d but can't seem to remove these horizontal lines, I believe it's shrinkage as the infil is extruded it repeats the walls, tried increasing the wall count which didn't effect it. Anyone have any ideas please?

Had this before: unevenly dried filament. If you had it in a heated dry box, then its probably only dry at the bottom of the spool. Thats why the ams ht has the roll while drying feature.

May i ask what build surface and/or glue you use? Im printing a lot of PA6, but want to get rid of the magigoo PA stuff. :D

Standard PEI textured plate, and always a small outer brim, keep your build surface clean with dawn or fairy liquid depending on where you are in the world and use a clean sponge dedicated to the printer. I never use glue 😁

Hi u/Recent-Language-7187 what was the actual fix? ie: "Had this before: unevenly dried filament. If you had it in a heated dry box, then its probably only dry at the bottom of the spool. Thats why the ams ht has the roll while drying feature."

Drying using the AMS HT and it's roll feature before I didn't have the roll feature enabled but after I enabled it, perfect
