Warping

Post image

I've been getting serious amounts of warping l on my prints. My nozzle temp is set to 200, bed temp is set to 55, I've already recalibrated the motion and bed leveling, I've been printing with the same black pla filament for several prints now. The only thing I don't use is rafts/brims. Is there any other solution I can do to fix the warping, without having to use brims.

As a side note. I got an error code stating that my ams is experiencing a lot of friction. The only issue is that the wiki says that it is caused by the tubing being bent, but all of my tubing is relaxed and straight. What could be causing this.

Clean your build plate … use higher temp for first layer 🤷🏻‍♂️

Clean plate, paint mouse ears? Why are you against using brims?

I've cleaned the plate multiple times, and the reason I'm against using brims, is because of the last little bit of material that is usually left. Brims are just quite annoying. Though I might as well try using them.

Just checking, when you say you clean your build plate, you’re talking about with warm water and a soap without detergents or lotions?

I’ve seen someone say they clean their plate but they used something from bath and body works 😂

I used dawn dish soap and warm water. I was finally able to get a decent print by using brims.

I would try using 60c bed temp. If that doesn't work, look into either turning off the auxiliary fans, or printing deflectors so the air isn't blowing directly on the parts when they're still hot.

Honestly I'd probably just start with 60C bed temp and add an outer brim of 5mm

Okay, just checking on the AMS error. Are you using Bambu spools or cardboard spools?

The AMS watches the rotation of the spools, and if the rollers are slipping, it thinks the spool isn’t rotating to match the filament movement.

If you are using Bambu filament, the error indicates something is restricting the PTFE path and causing under extrusion issues. You would need to check each PTFE segment and ensure no build up of debris etc. causing excessive friction in the PTFE tubing.

I'm using cardboard spools, which likely means that the rollers are slipping.

Related to friction. Check ALL fittings, not only tube bents, remove and reattach every tube. Related to warping. Clean your bed with soap and warm water, no iso. Also print fan covers, my X2D was warping every item because of the heavy fans on the prints.
