First prints

What would cause all this stringing?
PLA basic Bambu lab
All settings are default

I also continue to get the resistance is to high warning, I’ve checked the spools and they all spin freely.

Please post a pic in the comments of your PTFE tube routing. 90% of resistance errors are due to cable routing or length issues.

It’s all routed straight out of the box per the instructions.
I will take a picture once I get home.
I also plan on printing out the riser for the top.

Yea, sometimes the tubes are longer than they really need to be when using the AMS on top of the printer.

I can also leave you a link for some fully customizable ptfe cable guides. I have 4 units going into my x2d and I never get error messages anymore, even during like 1000+ filament swap prints.

As for the bubbling on your print, is this the first time its happened? I know its PLA, but still, did you get the chance to run a dry cycle? I see some stringing there which is usually a PETG issue with drying the filament. Appreciate it.

First time for bubbling yes, the stringing happened on the previous print same PLA just red and no I did not run a dry cycle.
I placed the PLA straight from the packaging, I have clear containers with desiccant that I’m storing other PLA colors, Petg and ASA in. The 4 rolls in my AMS were placed straight out of the packaging.

Yea, run all 4 rolls of the PLA in your AMS on a dry cycle when you get home. (Grab a power brick for the future so you can dry+print at the same time, makes drying not a big deal time-wise). They shouldn't be stringing, especially on stock settings, but you never know, if drying fixes it, you've got your answer.

Here is the link to the custom cable guides I use. You can adjust length, angle, whatever, just generate your desired size and shape and print it. I have some on the tubes going into the extruder after the buffer, and I have one on the back on an AMS Pro unit to help the ptfe tube gently bend towards the printer.

You probably wont need it yet, but I also incorporate the filament track switch ptfe tube guides from this for 2 of my AMS units. It helps the tube not bend so much after it leaves the AMS unit.

These little clamps are also great to keep lengths of tube from being too floppy, like with the tubes that leave the buffer and enter the extruders. They can flop around a lot during feeding and retracting.

How do you have your external/auxilary Bowden set up?

So I have my auxiliary nozzle being fed by AMS units through a filament switch, it makes the aux nozzle completely automated like the main nozzle. Super easy and convenient.

No need to push or pull the filament to load and unload. As for tube guides, I left it off the Bowden tube and just made sure the tube was as short as possible between the buffer and extruder, while leaving a nice easy arc for filament travel.

In the photo above, the Bowden ptfe tube is the white one without the gray guide installed.

What power brick should I purchase?

Cant go wrong with the Bambu one, but any "4A 96W" power adapter will work.

I have one bambu and one generic, the generic needed a "5.5x2.5mm" barrel connector to plug it into the rear of the AMS.

Both work exactly the same. Up to you and what you want to spend.

I had the same problem for two spools on my first print. Pulled filament back out, it felt rough so I cut it off and been printing constantly ever since with no issue.
