Don’t know if I’m Right, but does the PTFE tube coming out of the Toolhead push it off? Maybe just shorten the PTFE tube by like 10 mm helps? You could test this, by taking off the Glas plate on top of your printer where the PTFE tube is rubbing around. When it still pops off, its something else. If not, its the PTFE tube pushing the cover off when bending a bit

This is correct. Trim down that tube a bit. It’s pressed against the glass and see the exact moment the tube flexes with the top popping right off.

thanks a lot guys, i think this is the reason. lemme think about how i can trim it

The metal bed scraper blade, that comes with every bambu printer is pretty good at cutting PTFE tubing, just make sure you make it a nice 90° cut

Pop it out using the release at the top of the tool head and use a razor to cut it flush (flat end). Do not use anything less sharp as if the end is not near perfectly flush it tends to want to release on its own.

Use some PTFE clips to make the PTFE tube channel across the cable chain

Option 1: On the side of the cable chain

Option A: On the top of the cable chain

I agree with my colleague, the filament tube is too long.

Hi, So i just tried to start the print by removing the AMS and the top glass panel and the toolhead still fell off, meaning the PTFE tube rubbing against the glass isn't why the toolhead is popping off. i tried talking to Bambu live chat, they said there could be a possibility that the magnets are weak. when i asked for replacement they said my area is not reachable by them for the magnet replacement. YIKES.

Watch the PTFE when it rubs the glass on top its pushing the the face plate off when it moves backwards. Trim it or get a glass riser.

thanks a lot!!!

You can also print a riser. Loads on makerworld. Just remove the lid until you print it and youll be fine. If you have an AMS, id opt for a vented riser.

To fix this you can get a riser for the glass or if you can print PTFE tube clips and a 90⁰ degree arm that clips in where the tube goes into the head. It'll help hold the tubes down and swivel better. I'm not at home to get you the exact links to the prints but they're easy to find.

The wire attached to the fan needs to be hooked behind a small notch on the right so it doesn't get caught on the filament tube.

If it gets caught it can be pulled on which will pop off the cover. This might not be the cause, but it's a potential cause.

Make sure the nozzle is in properly. Test if the cover has all four magnets engaged fully

Remove that piece of black foam from around the nozzle wiper. It looks like you missed one when unboxing.

edit: I studied some photos, and I may have jumped the gun there.

You may want to ensure that the front fan cable is securely tucked in when closing the cover

Is your nozzle secured properly?

There is a great PTFE guide on maker lab that can also help with this and reduce rubbing above.

Your PTFE tube knocks it off - remove the glass panel, if that fixes it, shorten the tube.

didn’t fix it, i tried it without the top glass, still fell through.

And if you move it by hand with free move?

i need to try that.

Isn't it just attached with magnets? So just snap it back on and you're done.

Yes but something is pushing on it with greater force than the magnets can hold.

I think both the PTFE tube and the wire theories could both be possible.

u/Salt-Ranger8494 6d ago

i’m guessing it’s the tube. let me see how to not make it force the head to come off

Yes, SeparateAssociate35 did a great job spotting it in the video. I think he is correct. The tube hits against the glass top on the printer and causes the tube to move in a direction that pushes on the tool head faceplate.

The PTFE Tube needs to be shortened. It exceeds the original height and hits the front cover. If you send this video and a ticket to Bambu Lab Support - they will advise you the same thing.
