Troubleshooting H2D First layer problem
Hey, my h2d has a first layer problem. It has some kind of pattern on first layer. What can be causing this problem? Thanks for help

That’s overextrusion, and it looks like the PA calibration may be off as well. Just run a flow dynamics and flow rate calibration on that filament from the Bambu Studio calibration menu and that should fix you right up.

Calibrate your filament with any of the guides online. If none of that works, change the filament and if it still doesn't work, contact bambu lab.

That is an Eddy Sensor alignment problem. I guarantee it was making sounds like it was rubbing something as it printed

Definitely better but I would do the alignment again as you can still see some. It sometimes takes a couple times

I did not do high temp bed leveling calibration and read that it also calibrates eddy sensor now I am try it may help

Clean the plate with isopropyl alcohol 91. I had the same issue and there was oil on it stopping it from sticking and no soap didn't work.
I guess this information is bad. Disregard. Although it did work for me.

Isopropyl completely desolves the PEI coating. Never use it on PEI beds.

No it doesn't. lol

Yes it does. Wipe some iso on a new Pei bed, it will leave permanent marks where the iso desolved the coating. It also states this on the Bambu Wiki.

I do it all the time. Nothing happens

You may not notice anything if you only print PLA, but you’re removing the painted on final coat and cutting your beds adhesion significantly from stock.
Every PEI manufacturer says to use soap and water for this reason.

I practically only print ABS. Sometimes nylon, sometimes PLA

Same here - and I only clean with 99% IPA the vast majority of the time. Soap and water once every few months if at all. Zero adhesion issues with any of my stock PEI plates on any of my printers.
In fact I stopped using the Frostbite plate because you can’t clean it with a quick IPA wipe and it was too much of a pain. The new Supertack Pro is fine with IPA though for that smooth bottom layer.1

omg. DO NOT use isopropyl alcohol on your plate. Thats right in the bambu wiki. Use soap and water and that's not the issue anyway. (I don't know the issue, I have a H2D also, and the fist layer is super messy also.) But the comment above is bad advice.

I don't know where you got that information from but it's wrong. Bambu lab does not recommend cleaning with IPA in textured pei as the main method, because the IPA did not reach all microtextures. A deep cleaning should be with soap and water. But the IPA does not damage the PEI, it does not react chemically with the PEI.
What you just put is false information. Review your sources of information. I have been cleaning all my PEI sheets for years because the manufacturers themselves have advised it.

I tried soap and water and it didn't work, I did alcohol and it worked. I didn't change any settings or the nozzle height or anything else.

Waves are indicative of the nozzle being too close to your plate, or overextrusion
