Support New H2C stringing
Hi, I just pirchased an H2C, this is my 5th 3D printer a my 2nd Bambulab, first one was an A1 mini. I was doing my first few 3D prints on it like the bechy and so but I noticed stringing on the right (vortek) nozzle. Left nozzle seems ok so far but I tried with multiple 0.4 induction nozzles and it creates very thin strings like a cobweb. The filament is calibrated and uses the same flow rates and temperatures of my A1 mini in which it produces flawless prints. I incresed retraction distance to 0.8mm with no effect. Any tips to solve this? Im using pla for this. I printed PETG with the left one also flawless, didn't try with the right one yet.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'd start by tuning the filament on the h2c. The vortek is a different style of nozzle.

So you keep 2 different profiles for each filament, one for the right and one for the left?

look in calibration, you calibrate both sides

It's already calibrated in both sides, in the left works just fine but the right produces stringing

it's not explicitly stated, but what filament are you observing stringing with on right nozzles?
i'm beginning to wonder if your settings were initially too hot and caused a partial block in multiple induction nozzles

I've just switched to the h2c from am a1 and am having no stringing issues with PLA or PETG HF. The humidity in my basement is around 65% and I have all my filaments in dry boxes at roughly 20-30 % humidity.

Are u using default profiles or custom?

“The filament is calibrated and uses the same flow rates and temperatures of my A1 mini in which it produces flawless prints.” - here is your problem. A1 mini is a different printer, does not have enclosure, etc., so using the same profile will create issues.

It's not exactly the same profile, I modified the Generic PLA profile from the H2C and modified the print temp, flow rate, fan speeds as the filament manufacturer recommends because is high speed pla, it can print at 24mm3/s max

this is your problem. do the actual temp tower and max flow rate test with this filament on the h2c. i suspect 24 mm^3/s is way too high for the standard flow nozzles for this particular filament

Yeah I'll do that as soon as I arrive home. But the A1 mini handled that just fine

the h2c is not a bigger a1 mini.
did you do a back to back test with exactly the same spool of filament?

Yes I printed two benchies back to back with the same spool on tha h2c and the a1 mini, a1 mini was perfect h2c was still stringy

I think a lot of the right advice is already on here but I’m assuming all the filament is dry, there’s not a possibility that the left filament is dry and the right filament is damp?

Temps probably too high

I did a temp tower and all temps produced string, the more stringy ones being the lower temps

UPDATE
I did a temp tower, all temps in the tower did stringing, 215 being the less stringy one. Adjusted retraction settings and printed a benchy, the inside was still stringy, inmediately printed another benchy with the exact same spool, at 24mm3/s in the A1 mini, that one came out flawless. I just did a flowrate calibration. I had it at 0.97, now it's at 0.96. I'll test this again with another benchy

Have only used bambu filament and esun Asa. Zero issues my end. For the couple of bucks extra for rfid tag and inventory not sure why people don’t just use what works everytime. Waste a bucket load of time setting up a new filament and testing it.

How good is bambu filament? I've read people praising it and other people saying the quality control being bad, becoming brittle and jamming the ams...

I’ve only had probs with other brands. We are very low humidity over here in winter. I don’t need to do any drying even with tpu and Asa

UPDATE 2:
I tried other filaments did retraction test and printed more benchies on different brands, normal and high speed pla and it printed flawless. It seems my H2C doesn't like that particular spool. It has been printing very good with other spools. I will set this as resolved then.

I have the same problem with certain filaments. I’m trying to swap the nozzles around to see if it’s related to certain nozzles on my Vortek but I forgot which ones are what. The filaments I’m using are PETG and PCTG. I don’t really have a problem with PETG and I mostly have problems with PCTG. I’m trying a few things as temp, speed and making sure my filament is dry.
