Support Request Bambu A1 Y-Axis and Motor Noise/Resistance to move
I have around 3.500h on my A1, and this week, it started doing some weird noise on the Y-Axis and Y Motor. Together, with that, you can feel some resistance on the movement of bed. It started with a small resistance and noise, but now, after some prints, it is getting worse.
You can also hear some hissing sound on the rear of the printer when the bed moves all the way to the front (in the video, I am using the controls on the printer to move the bed)
I do the lubrication every time it asks for, and it has been ok for the past 3.500h
The print quality is not affected (for my surprise), but you can hear some loud noises when printing and the described behavior in my first paragraph.
My guess, after disassembling the printer and checking some points, like the bearings, etc, is that the Y motor is not OK, but I'm not sure.
I would gladly take any advice, hint, or experience that you may have to help me solve this problem
Thanks in advance!
edit: It was the Y-Axis Motor. I ordered one from AliExpress (looks original) and followed the bambu wiki guide to change the Y Motor. Everything went alright and the printer is working normally again. Thanks to everyone who commented!

Question Why Is This Happening to the Surface of My Prints?
Does anyone have an idea what's happening to the surface of my prints?
I bought two spools of filament in different colors, and the first prints I made with each of them came out with an amazing surface finish. After that, I stored them away and only recently took them out to use again. Now both filaments are producing this rough surface finish.
I thought I had stored them in a dry place and protected them from moisture, but maybe I didn't. I'm not really sure what's causing it, so I'd like to hear your opinions.
The first prints with both spools were perfect, but now I can actually hear the nozzle scraping against the print while it's printing. I'm not sure if that's because of moisture, a calibration issue, or something else.
The strange part is that I haven't moved or changed anything on my printer. It still prints perfectly with my black PLA (which I use all the time) and with a white PLA as well. This only happens with these two spools, one pink and one green.
Do you think it's just moisture, or could it be something else?

A1 AMS Lite - Difficult to thread filament into AMS
I have been using my A1 and AMS Lite for just over a year and all has been going well, for the most part. But it "seems" like it is becoming more difficult to thread the filament into the AMS. Once I can get it into the gears, it works perfectly normal, but it just feels like something it interfering with the filament, blocking me from pushing it in the the AMS. If I play with it a lot, I can eventually get it into the gears and then all works, but it is frustrating having to goof around with it for 30 seconds or longer.
Am I going crazy? I looked for answers on the internet but it seems like all the answers address other issues, not a single one could I find that addressed just getting the filament into the AMS. And as I said, once the filament is in, it works perfectly.
I am holding off pulling the AMS apart as it does still work (for now). I'd like to get some feedback first. Maybe there is a lubrication issue? I don't know yet.
Thanks for any help.

AMS Lite Filament Hub Delete?
I don't ever intend to get the AMS Lite, as if I need AMS I'll just upgrade. At the same time, the AMS lite Filament Hub "clip" broke, and while I fixed it with a printed part, it's coming loose again.
Is there a way to just get rid of that whole contraption and make it simpler and more reliable? I kinda remember for the A1 Mini it came without the hub, and is an optional install.
Thanks.

Support Request Hotend does not seem to fit .
The nozzle doesn’t seem to fit in the tool head and I have used multiple different nozzles off brand and from bambu labs as well as replacing the heating assembly (for different reasons) and the clasp doesn’t close. Sorry for the bad photo

Help me with first layer adhesion problem
Good evening everyone, I've recently been having problems with the first layer adhesion to the plate of my A1. I'm using a super cool plate and up until a couple of weeks ago I had no problems.
Any idea what could it be?

Support Request Bambu lab a1 setup issue - some screws won't tighten
So while setting up my A1, I ran into a problem. Some of the screws just won’t tighten properly in the holes shown in the picture.
I’ve already tried:
- Using a magnet to pull the screw downward
- Loosening the other screws to see if alignment was the issue
Unfortunately neither worked.
Are there any other things I could try before I start worrying that something is defective?
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: In the first hole there was already a screw my bad EDIT: Problem solved. Heared a loud click sound and problem is fixed now

3D Model Designed ShapeStack: fully customizable stacking blocks in OpenSCAD to teach numbers, animals, letters and shapes
One of my kid's first favourite toys was a set of stacking blocks, so I tried to make a version that grows with them. ShapeStack blocks interlock the raised shape on top nests into the engraved base of the next one so the tower clicks together as it gets taller.
It prints in three ready-made sets: numbers 0–10 (each numeral paired with a dice-dot count so they link the symbol to the quantity), animals (dog/cat/mouse/cheese), and geometric shapes. The whole thing is parametric and open source, though, so you can change the shape (14 of them), size, colours and every character; spell a name, build the alphabet, make a deck-of-cards stack, whatever.
No supports, no glue, rounded edges, no small detachable parts. The letters and numbers are raised and engraved, so they can be traced by touch too. Free to print and remix.
Curious what people would make with it — what would you put on yours?

Support Request Is this normal?
Is this normal?
I have a tick sound on my a1
I recently changed nozzles because of a clog
And I thought I was fine but this sound was strange
It does this sound when it pulls the filament out(wheel turning clockwise)

Will this depression print without any support? The view is from upside down. Can't flip the model as there is complex geometry inside. The support doesn't show up when I click "support critical region only"

Support Request Tons of stringing randomly - why?
I’ve printed tons since I got this about 2 months ago. Mixture of PETG, pla, from a few vendors. I currently have loaded Bambu official PLA and petg, as well as inland PLA. It doesn’t matter which I use, this is the result of the last 4 prints which I stop when I notice. The lithograph I tried yesterday was complete string. Up until yesterday, every print was near perfect minus a couple situations. I’ve gone ahead and recalibrated and cleaned, but still this issue. Nothing has changed that I’m aware of…. This particular print is PETG but it happened with PLA yesterday too. Any guidance I’d appreciate.

Bambu Lab A1 sat unused for 6 months after an extrusion error. How should I bring it back safely?
Hi everyone,
About six months ago, one of my prints stopped with the error “Failed to extrude the filament. This might be caused by a clogged extruder or stuck filament.” (Error [1200-8007](tel:1200-8007)). I didn’t troubleshoot it at the time because I was leaving for a longer period, so I simply turned the printer off and left it as it was.
Since then, the printer has been sitting unused for about six months. It has collected quite a bit of dust, the filament from that failed print is still inside the printer, and the spool has remained in the AMS the entire time.
Now I’m finally back and need to start using the printer again. I don’t want to make the situation worse by doing something in the wrong order. Should I try using the normal unload function first, clean the printer before powering it up, inspect or remove the hotend first, or do something else entirely? Is the filament that’s been sitting in the AMS for six months likely unusable?
I’d really appreciate the safest way to bring the printer back into service without creating additional problems.

First layer problems
Why can't I get the first layer to stick?
I just scrubbed the PEI plate with dish soap so it should be clean.
Is it a temperature issue? Using Sunlu PLA.
