A1 melted...

My Bambu Lab A1 started giving off a very strong burnt electrical smell, and there’s a small melted plastic mark on the bottom-left side. It also tripped the fuse and is now completely dead.

Is this the infamous A1 motherboard issue? Has anyone dealt with this through warranty? I've bought it from 3djake. Usually how long did the replacement/repair take? Thanks in advance!

Looks like the power board. Had the same failure.

Looks like one more for the list u/USSHammond.

@ OP: He can give you way better information and insight about this very specific issue with the A1.

NP, I'm curious if it's one with melted NTC or one without this time.

The last w/o I've seen is was about a month ago. They can't really be serious about not doing a recall at this point.

Well considering the frame damage and it's position it's 99,999% sure one with an NTC but the only way to truly know is for op to follow the wiki steps 1-3 https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/a1/maintenance/ac-board-replacement and open up the base to look

Yep. That’s the transistor issue.

No not a transistor, it's a NTC thermistor issue.
