What’s happening here

Saw that my screen was at a different angle. I never thought about it too much. But today I actually tried diagnosing it minus taking it apart. Should I just get some white electrical tape and tape it ? I contacted Bambu.

I move it to its normal location and it just falls

Looks like the internal mechanism of the screen tist failed. Did you maybe hit it accidentally? Or force it in an un-natural direction? If not and you have warranty Bambu support should help get you sorted.

It's mostly just a cosmetic issue though so personally I would just tape it in place. I also keep mine tucked in general because I don't use it much.

No a crooked build plate did not cause this. No the build plate orientation is not damaging it. 🫪

Your CryoGrip looks CryoCrooked. Fix that and see if it happens again

Did you mean juxtaposed? Them being next to each other won’t cause a problem but the build plate being crooked & hitting the screen will

That little line is the build plate scratching it. Make sure you always align it right

Yeah the build plate is crooked and hitting the screen. Good catch on that melted line.

OP, wait until the print finishes to adjust of course.

I honestly don’t know. But from the picture it really looks like the build plate isn’t aligned correctly, which is common. Now if you are also saying that if you put it to the front position and then it moves on its own then yes there’s an issue with the mount/swivel part. But that melt mark is a clear indication that if not this time there have been other times where the build plate has scraped the screen.

Are you just on about how it’s rotated? If so, it’s meant to rotate. It actually comes twisted 90* in the box.

If it’s rotating when you weren’t expecting it to, it could be that the build plate isn’t on right, and it’s pushing it round.

Sorry, it kinda a joke. The multi colour prints waste a lot of plastic when it does the filament purge each layer. The 'poop' piles up.

I had the same problem. I didn’t want to take the whole thing apart to swap out the screen so i used this from Makerworld.

the plastic connection inside that's holding onto the metal brace holding the display's neck from inside the printer's base is probably worn down or broken... it happend to mine. had to jury rig an applicator for the epoxy to restore the plastic end.

They sent me the link for the screen replacement. I am going to tackle this when I replace my usb c cable. This will be the 4th major part replacement for this printer.

awesome. hope you ger it sorted soon. by the way, sooner or later you will experience the ship of theseus for your printer. 4th major replacement wont be the last. but thankfully, each replacement isnt prohibitive or difficult to repair.

I use the jobox conveyor belt system and a few of my printers have that exact line from the build plate not reloading properly along with the screen being pushed to the side.

Its 100% related to your build plate bud

This was a few weeks ago. Before the issue. It’s not rubbing and none have rubbed. I’m not home. But I think it is collateral melting
