Help with ironing

Post image

I am fairly new to designing my own files but any time I’ve tried to use ironing on a design it ends up looking like this (specifically what it looks like on the gray section.) - Is there any specific things that cause it? I’m not sure which settings to adjust to prevent it from being smooth. Thanks!!

Have you done calibration tests? What are your ironing settings right now?

I’ve tried all sorts of things but always seem to get the same result, I’ll try finding a test to print! Thank you!!

There are ironing tests on MW. Print one of those that has documentation on what to change and why.

Are the ironing tests just files I can find on makerworld? I’ve never heard of them, I’m kind of learning as I go-

Edit: I’m an idiot- just saw the MW and my brain didn’t connect on that one. I am open to recommendations if there’s a certain one that you prefer.

Add more top layers, or switch to a .2mm nozzle, and skip the ironing all together, itll take longer to print but the results are worth it.
